Hi
I have just installed the application and added a product to test – the purchase works fine however when I use IE8 to download the product it just gives a general error – but in Chrome it downloads ok
any thoughts?
it is a big file 25Mb as a zip
thanks
January 30, 2011 at 5:24 pm #28515wzpModeratorWhat exactly is the error? Also, could you please enable the debug logs and examine the contents of the download_manager_debug.log file?
January 30, 2011 at 5:35 pm #28516mikemorrisonMemberThe message I am getting is:
“Internet explorere cannot download download.php from XXXX.com”
“Internet explorer was not able to open this internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. please try again later”
do you have an email address I can send the log to..? it shows no errors:

January 30, 2011 at 8:12 pm #28517wzpModeratorWP eStore -> Settings -> Addon Settings -> Download Manager Related Settings
Please try changing the download method from 1, to 6.
January 30, 2011 at 10:15 pm #28518mikemorrisonMemberNow I am getting “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” in IE8
& in Chrome:
The web page at http://mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=2xOa%2FSMFVvaVgKXj might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
so this appears worse
log says:

[01/30/2011 5:32 PM] – Status : Resolved DL file path = /home/mytraine/public_html/mydomain.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Management.zip

January 31, 2011 at 5:37 am #28519amin007ParticipantDo you have a caching plugin or are you using Gzip compression?
January 31, 2011 at 6:16 am #28520mikemorrisonMemberNo caching plugin & not activated compression to my knowledge
January 31, 2011 at 1:57 pm #28521amin007ParticipantI have sent you an email to get site access so I can check this out.
February 7, 2011 at 11:26 am #28522mikemorrisonMemberThanks for solving the issue
however I have uploaded some new products and have the same problem??
February 8, 2011 at 3:53 am #28523amin007ParticipantDid you change anything in the plugin? Anyway, I have received your email too so I will reply there.
February 8, 2011 at 9:02 am #28524amin007ParticipantThe new links you have specified in the newly added products are all giving 404 error! Please makes sure the raw download URL is correct first.
March 3, 2011 at 3:04 pm #28525bhakansMemberWhat was the solution to this problem? I just installed eStore and seem to have the same problem. My (stamped) pdf downloads just fine in Firefox but in IE I get the “Unable to download download.php, please try again later” error…
March 3, 2011 at 6:56 pm #28526wzpModeratorPlease try this:
If it works for you, please let us know and we’ll make it into a settings option.
March 4, 2011 at 11:13 am #28527bhakansMemberActually it seems it also has something to do with me being logged in as an admin. Because when I created a new link in the admin panel today it worked in IE as well. However, when I tried a new link a while later I got the download.php error once more.
Sometimes logging out from admin, closing all open tabs from my domain seems to remove the problem – but not always.
Could there be some session cookie thing or similar going on here, or should I still try the mimetype settings?
March 4, 2011 at 12:16 pm #28528wzpModeratorDo you have any caching plugins installed?
