Hi there
This problem have just started – maybe due to an upgrade of the WP-core to 3.5.2 (eStore is 6.6.0)
When my customer buys an item for download he gets an email with the encrypted download link that’s expired right from the start.
The text om webpage says:
The secure download manager ran into a problem that it couldn’t handle, and is unable to process your download request. The problem was due to the following reason: The download link (see browser address bar) has expired (it’s too old). If you think this reason is in error, please contact the site administrator.
I can generate a new download link manually and it works fine.
What to do to get the store back on track?
Best wishes
Pete
July 31, 2013 at 12:15 am #56884wzpModeratorWhat kind of expiry do you have on the link? Does it happen for every customer, or just some? If you have the expiry set for “1” it may have expired either because the buyer had technical difficulties and had to try it more than once; or the link was crawled by the user’s mail client, checking for malware.
Try enabling the debug longs and then review the Download_Manager_Debug.log file to see if anything unusual is happening.
Also go through the following checklist which should help:

July 31, 2013 at 12:27 pm #56885peteandersenMemberI think it’s the PDF-stamper causing the problem (vesion 3.3.4)
Now I’ve upgraded the eStore plugin to 6.9.8.1 and that caused a conflict between eStore and the stamper – for now I’ve turned the stamper off. I haven’t been able to test i yet.
I’ve been using %20 i filenames for a long time and it have been working fine – do I need to worry about that?
July 31, 2013 at 2:00 pm #56886wzpModeratorPer Uniform Resource Locators (URL) specification RFC-1738:
“The space character is unsafe because significant spaces may disappear and insignificant spaces may be introduced when URLs are transcribed or typeset or subjected to the treatment of word-processing programs…” (my emphasis: …including transformations performed by PHP and your server.)
http://www.w3.org/Addressing/rfc1738.txt
Are you saying that the problem only occurs on files with space (%20) characters in the file name? If so, replace the space characters (%20) with underscores, hyphens or periods. Otherwise, the space characters will become part of the stamped file’s URL and cause problems.

I have turned it off – hope that is enough to make the store work again…
August 1, 2013 at 1:06 am #56888adminKeymasterPlease apply the following configuration changes when you use the W3 Total Cache plugin:
