Good afternoon:
I have seen that when a download link is sent to the customer, clicking at the download link the image that is donwloade is a black file instead of the photo that the customer has purchased.
Know anybody what can be wrong?
Rgds.
May 20, 2015 at 8:59 pm #70111wzpModeratorHave you personally tried the link in question?
May 20, 2015 at 10:06 pm #70112JordiMemberYes, I have purchased the picture and paid from my personal paypal account that is different than my business account.
The link has been generated automatically by Photo Seller.
May 20, 2015 at 11:50 pm #70113PeterMemberHi Jordi,
Can you please check your general server logs to see if there are any php errors or warning related to this? (ask your host provider if you can’t find the server logs)
Can you also please enable debug for the photo seller: go to settings and scroll down to bottom and “enable logging”.
Then can you set up a test gallery with digital pricing of say $0.05 and provide the link to the gallery so we can make a test purchase.
May 21, 2015 at 8:41 am #70114JordiMemberThx.
Enable Logging was already activated and you can now check the gallery at [http://fotoset.es/photogallery/gallery6/] (the test I made was with the second pic). The price per photo is 0.01 cts.
Let me know the result of your check
Best regards.
May 21, 2015 at 11:43 pm #70115PeterMemberI tried purchasing and downloading the photo and I noticed that I got a 0kb sized file.
Can you please download the latest version of the plugin and try your test again and let me know if you still have issues?

May 26, 2015 at 1:27 pm #70116JordiMemberGood afternoon:
Thank you for your response. I’ve updated the plugin but the download file still in 0k’s so it means “no image”.
Do you have any other idea about how can we solve this problem?
Best regards,
Jordi
May 27, 2015 at 2:02 am #70117PeterMemberHi again,
You didn’t get back to me regarding the following question:
Can you please check your general server logs to see if there are any php errors or warning related to this? (ask your host provider if you can’t find the server logs)
Did you check the server logs?
I think a clue to this problem might be contained in that log file.
(Note: the server logs are different to the photo seller logs which I have just checked.)
In addition, can you also ask check what is the value for the PHP memory_limit for your server?
If it is less than or equal to 128M can you ask your host provider to set it to 256M?
May 27, 2015 at 10:09 am #70118JordiMemberI have requested this info to my hosting provider and I’ll let you know the answer.
Thx.
May 27, 2015 at 2:15 pm #70119JordiMemberAs per the answer from my hosting, there is not way to have acces to the php errors log due to my hosting is a shared one
By the other hand, about the memory limit, their answer is:
Limit of memory per proces (MB) = 80
maxim times of execution(in seconds)) = 40
# of parallel processes paralelos = 15
Limit set memory (between all the scripts MB) = 32
I have tried to add a plugin at the site to see the php errors, but it looks like I do something wrong because it does not find the “phpo-error.log” file.
That’s all the info I have about the php service I have hired.
May 27, 2015 at 2:24 pm #70120wzpModeratorLimit of memory per proces (MB) = 80
That is an abnormally low level for this kind of application. Set it to at least 256 MB.
May 27, 2015 at 5:48 pm #70121JordiMemberI have talk to my provider and tells me that due it is a shared server is not possible to increase the memory unless I hire a dedicated server, so it is not possible to improve this performance.
As the supplier told me it looks like no shared hosting offers 256MB per process and it is only available at dedicated hosting servers, so it will be needed to find another solution.
Any idea?
May 27, 2015 at 11:21 pm #70122PeterMemberThe processing of photos requires a lot of resources and a shared host is not going to provide those resources for you.
You should at the very least upgrade to a VPS server.
May 28, 2015 at 6:36 pm #70123JordiMemberCould it works witn 128MB?. It is the best proposal from my hosting supplier (VPS server is too expensive to move my domains to this new hosting)
May 29, 2015 at 12:05 am #70124PeterMemberCould it works witn 128MB?
It may work but since you are on a shared server you’re fighting a losing battle really.
If your photos are very hi-res the more resources the server will need to perform resizing and watermarking etc.
Try that 128M setting and see how it goes.
I think you should be able to get a VPS plan for around $50/mth but you should do your due diligence and check what’s out there.
