Hi could someone help, I’ve tried looking though the forums and I’ve tried all the advice but when anyone try’s to download after purchasing, a ziped audio file, the link that they receive gives them this error message (Download file cannot be found. Please let us know.)
Prier to this happening, it would let them download the file but it was only 0k. I’ve tried moving the location of the .zip file but the same thing happens, also the file name contains no spaces so that should be OK. Can anyone help.
Many Thanks
The URL is: http://polyphasicrecordings.com
March 5, 2011 at 2:35 pm #29811wzpModeratorWhen you “moved” the location of the zip file, did you also update the product URL location in eStore as well?
Have you enabled the debug log messages, and what does the download_manager_debug.log file say?
March 5, 2011 at 5:32 pm #29812PolyphasicMemberHi thankyou for getting back. Yes I did change the product URL location in eStore as well.
These are the messages from the debug log file:

March 5, 2011 at 5:55 pm #29813wzpModeratorPlease try either the Absolute or Relative URL conversion preference.
March 5, 2011 at 7:45 pm #29814PolyphasicMemberHi, Just tried changing the path to Relative and still get the same error.
March 5, 2011 at 7:56 pm #29815wzpModeratorNow that it is relative or absolute, what locations are shown in the log now as being file_exist errors?
March 5, 2011 at 8:10 pm #29816PolyphasicMemberStrange this time it didn’t display the error message, but let me download a the file, but is 0k
March 5, 2011 at 8:37 pm #29817PolyphasicMemberIts working now! My FTP software wasn’t giving me the correct Absolute path.
March 5, 2011 at 10:26 pm #29818wzpModeratorApril 27, 2011 at 2:04 am #29819allen8idtheftMemberHello,
I am having receiving this error message “Download file cannot be found. Please let us know. Thank you” when attempting to download an electronic file from the Thank You Page.
I have reviewed post in the forum and have tried a number of things. In the WP eStore Add-On-Manager configuration settings –>Automatic URL Conversion Preference, I have tested both the “Do Not convert” & “relative” settings. However, the error message still exists.
The error occurs after I have completed the PayPal process and I am redirected to the download page. Everything works ok up to the point where I want to download the file. I suspect that it has something to do with https:
The link generated on the https download page is
The error occurs after clicking the download link.
However, I am able to download after generating encrypted link in the the WP-eStore Admin setting. The link generated is Test Product – http://identity-theft-protection.com.au/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=2xOa%2FCoAWvKZhavs
Note that I want my estore to be fully automated so I need to fix this problem.
Please advise a solution.
Allen

We just need to investigate the product in question (the one that is having difficulty). Is the test product the one that you purchased for testing purpose or was the purchase for a different product?
April 27, 2011 at 11:22 am #29821wzpModeratorPlease enable the debug logs and then report back the contents of the download_manager_debug.log file. We are interested in seeing the differences between when you download using a link that is manually generated, and from the thank you page.
