I uploaded the new folder as instructed. I then uninstalled and reinstalled. Then I placed a test order. I got the following link:
That link downloads the wp-cart-for-digital-products, not the Indiana Will Masterform.
Note: Under Digital Content Details, my Digital Product URL is:
http://createlastwill.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Will_Masterform_Setup.exe
However, now I did get a download_manager_debug.log
Here are its contents:

So sounds like what you just said is the encrypted download link downloads a copy of eStore, instead of the file you want?!?
But that can’t be right, because I just tried the encrypted download link you provided and I got a copy of the Will_Masterform_Setup.exe file.
I tried it and it worked fine. I don’t understand why, but I’m very happy that the problem is solved. Thank you very much for your help … and your patience.
I have a number of products that no longer work in the digital download. The first time that they were purchase, the download links appeared in the Thank You email as well as the email. After that, the Thank you did not display the download links their or in the generated email. The site is http://www.kantabosniak.com. I am running the latest version.
Everything is updated. Since this worked originally, and less than 5 minutes transpired since between other purchases, I don’t know why it is not working now. This is the case with all the products under the page “MP3s and eBooks.”

I’ve just tried clicking on one of your free files in your MP3’s and eBooks section called “Digital Talking Book” and it appears that your link is broken. I got the following error:
“The requested URL /kantaDlds/AT_KB_DTB.zip was not found on this server.”
Could it be that you have moved some of your files and links around recently?
Regarding your digital content, please check your configuration settings and ensure that you have entered the correct URLs for your downloadable items.
Test these URLs by pasting them directly into a browser window.
I have been using WPeStore for almost 2 years now. I have the latest version 6.0.8
I recently added some new products and went to test the checkout process. I am having digital download issues as well. No download links were getting generated. Either on the confirmation screen after payment or in the follow up e-mail that is sent out.
So, to test if a link could be generated, I went and did it through admin. (Generate encrypted Link). When I do this, I get the following error message:
Download link generation failed! Make sure the digital product variation name is correct if this product uses digital product variation.
I found this post and went in and enabled the debugging and reset the debug log files via the button on the admin settings screen.
I then tried to re-generate an encrypted link and looked at the download_manager_debug.log and all it has in it is the reset message.
The eStore_post_payment_debug.log has the reset message and then this:

According to the error message it is saying that you may have incorrectly entered something in the “Digital Product Variation” field in your product’s configuration in eStore.
Please see the following for more info regarding how to use this field:
Pay particular attention to the example of what you can enter in this field:

They key seems to be in your last sentence:

I cleared out the variation3 field and now it works.
It would be nice, however, if WPeStore would work if there is only ONE item in the variation field. It would save me a lot of manual effort when I do release the next version of my software.
One item in the variation field should work fine but when generating a link for a product that uses digital variation, you still need to specify the “Variation Name” in the corresponding field so it can generate the link.
OK. Variations are just not working now for all products. I’ve had two people e-mail me who have purchased older products which have always worked and now they don’t.
Without changing anything on these older products, I went and tried to manually generate links for them from the Admin Functions area and they did not work.
I got the same message as above:

If it matters, I verified that the files actually existed on the download server by copying the unencrypted link directly out of the Digital Product Variation field and pasting it into a new browser window. The files downloaded without incident.
I uninstalled and re-installed the Plugin, hoping that would clear things up. But, it did not. So, as of now, it appears that my ability to use Digital Product Variations no longer works.

Did we somehow lose the ability to use a period in the Variation Name? It used to work. But I removed the periods, and instead used 121 and 13x and it now works.
