Hi,
Thanks, test stamp worked fine using Stamping Method 2 as you suggest in checklist #6.
Before I change over though, can you suggest a reason why the auto-return was not finding my Thankyou page?
The URL was correct and the current plug in returns to the thankyou page no problems, but I couldnt get it to work with WP eStore????
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help with the above.
regards

March 26, 2012 at 11:52 am #40803PeterMemberHi,
You say that:
“the current plug in returns to the thankyou page no problems, but I couldnt get it to work with WP eStore”
What is the “current plugin” you are referring to?
Regarding auto-return from PayPal, please see the instructions in this post which should help you set this up:

March 27, 2012 at 7:18 am #40804burgo7MemberHi,
Currently using “PayPal Download plug in” from Yes plug ins, and it autoreturns to my thankyou page everytime, no problems without making any changes to PayPal settings.
I went through the checklist you suggested as above and was successful at a manual stamp using stamping method 2, however as soon as i reactivated WP eStore and tried to run a trial purchase, i received a 404 error message on auto return to my thankyou page and did not get an email with the download link.
i got the following failures in the Post purchase debug file
FAILURE :An error occured while trying to stamp the file! Error details: <html xmlns=”http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml” xmlns:fb=”http://www.facebook.com/2008/fbml”>
FAILURE :An error occured while trying to stamp the file! Error details: <b>Warning</b>: main(WP_PDF_STAMP_PATHlib/fpdf/fpdf.php) [function.main]:
SO i go back on, deactivate WP eStore and pdf stamper, remove your buy now buttons and replace with the Paypal Download plug in buttons, go through the exact same procedure again and bang, it works? Thankyou page, email, download link, everything.
Whats going on?
Thanks
March 27, 2012 at 7:24 am #40805burgo7MemberIs it possible for me to activate WP eStore and PDF stamper (need lic key) on my local host site so that we can try to work this out, without me having to change, try, then change back each time i try to get this running?
Thanks
March 27, 2012 at 7:37 am #40806burgo7MemberOr you want me to set you up as admin so you can take a look?
March 27, 2012 at 10:59 pm #40807adminKeymasterYou can deactivate the current license that you are using on this domain from the product license menu and then activate it on your test site. You don’t be able to test this on the local host for a few reasons:
An alternative option is to create a new WordPress install in a sub-directory or sub-domain then test it there (this WordPress install will be totally separate from your main WordPress). Once you create this test WordPress install you can also give me access to this install and I will check it out for you if you want.
March 29, 2012 at 5:59 am #40808burgo7MemberI’d like to deal with the issue on the current site if possible.
Do you have any comments on the Failures i am getting in the post payment debug file as per my previous post?
Why is the PDF Stamper working manually then not automatically?
Why would i get a successful auto return with one plug in then not with yours.
Need your help here.

March 29, 2012 at 11:15 pm #40809adminKeymasterYou did not mention what version of eStore you are using. Can you please share that information?
The return URL won’t work if you did not place a URL value or added a wrong value in the “Return URL” field of eStore settings. What value do you have in the “Return URL” field?
April 2, 2012 at 10:19 am #40810burgo7MemberI am using WP eStore v6.5.3
I am using WP PDF Stamper v 4.1.5
The URL i have in the return URL field in WP eStore is http://www.acimjournal.com/thank-you/
Can i give you access so you can check it out? See if we can get it working?
Thanks
April 6, 2012 at 11:11 pm #40811burgo7MemberHello?
Havent received a response from my last post?
April 7, 2012 at 12:30 am #40812burgo7MemberOk, not really sure how or what is different to last install, but i have the pdf stamper and e-Store working.
The auto return is still broken though?
When i run a trial purchase, the auto-return goes to the below URL:
this URL gets a ERROR 404 – Page not found
Why all the stuff after the “thank-you”?? As soon as you delete that from the URL the thank-you page is shown.
I only have http://www.acimjournal.com/thank-you in the auto return settings.
How do i get this to work?
Thanks
April 7, 2012 at 1:06 am #40813burgo7MemberOk,
When i deactivate the Payment Data Transfer option in PayPal and delete the token from the Payment Gateway settings in e-Store the return URL shows up as the following
http://www.acimjournal.com/thank-you/%20%E2%80%8E
Close, but no cigar.
Do you know what is causing the “%20%E2%80%8E” to be added onto the end and how can i set up so that it doesnt get added?
Nearly there, help please!
April 7, 2012 at 1:38 am #40814burgo7MemberOK,
FIXED.
Too many places to type return URL (product settings, general settings, etc)
One was different.
My bad (apologies)
