It could be something simple, but I can not get the import to work with the CSV to Database plugin. Here’s my current problems.

    1) I can’t get past the import error, but seem to have followed the instructions precisely. I have installed the WP CSV to DB plugin. I do have different table names other than standard wp_., e.g. – “bafrep2013users”. Am I doing something wrong in the plugin settings for the table name “wp_wp_eMember_members_tbl”? Should it be:

baf2013_wp_eMember_members_tbl. If so, that is not working.

    2) Also, how do I import into the 2 custom fields that I created for the eMember database…just add those 2 fields to the end of the members.csv file?

OK, I figured out one problem after looking in wp-config.php. I had the wrong database. But for my other question, can I import into the custom fields with the members.csv file or can this only be done through mysql only with something like phpMyAdmin?

The custom fields are a little tricky as they are saved in the database slightly different (different users will have different types of custom fields so we couldn’t create separate fields for it).

Using PHPMyAdmin to import those would be the best option for it (unless you are editing them via the plugin’s edit member interface).

I have imported all members with PHPMyAdmin using the fomrat in the members.csv template, but now my passwords are not working. I can see the passwords in the sql table password field, but they are not encrypted. Is this p[art of the problem? Does eMember automatically encrypt them?

If I go into the eMember profile and manually reset the password, then the login works. I guess my question is how do I bulk import these passwords into the member profile?

It is normal for the password to not work after you import them. The reply on the following post will explain why:
