It looks like your hosting provider is preventing that query parameters in this server. I will take a look inside and see what I find. I have sent you an email for it.
August 19, 2015 at 7:37 pm #22750lenmooneyMemberI think the pass through links solve a problem I have been wrestling with for days. My affiliate will send a potential client to a webinar that is off site. The client will then come back to make a purchase. I manually created a passthrough link and it worked hooray! The questions is, can these pass through links be generated by the software or do they have to be done manually for each affilate?
So if I have 20 affiliates I have to manually create 20 links?
Never mind I see if I use the complete passthroough as the taget URL, it generates the link just fine. Wow this solved a big headache for me.
August 20, 2015 at 12:22 am #22751adminKeymasterYou just create your affiliate ad/link with the full passthru link as the “Target URL” and it will show up in the affiliate’s portal.
November 18, 2016 at 8:13 pm #22752AntKatMemberI have seen much discussion about a satellite affiliate plugin but do not see where I can download it.
I have a multisite (sub-domain) with WPMUdev Pro Sites however, the marketing content is on a a different subdomain. If the satellite affiliate plugin makes this easy then I would like to try it but can’t find it on your website anywhere.

March 9, 2017 at 7:02 am #22754bubbakwb3MemberI have created the following pass through link [http://www.speakingofpartnership.com/?wpap_pass_thru=http://app.webinarjam.net/register/8500/4797f19a55&ap_id=tips21] and it is taking me to the webinar registration page as intended. This is showing up in the clickthrough data, but not in my affiliate portal home page. Am I missing a step or will the total clicks data on my affiliate page only reflect when the customer returns to my web page from the webinar and makes a purchase – in my case signs up for a training? Please help me understand the process so I can be confident the affiliate links are working and will collect the referral data my affiliates are expecting. Thank you
March 9, 2017 at 10:50 pm #22755adminKeymasterThe click should be tracked immediately when they go to that URL. If it is showing up in clickthrough menu of your wp admin then the click is definitely getting tracked.
Can the affiliate see it by going to the clicks menu inside their affiliate portal?
Are you using any caching plugin where the affiliate homepage is being cached?
March 9, 2017 at 11:00 pm #22756bubbakwb3MemberThe clicks do not show up in the affiilate portal. Just in the clickthrough menu of my admin portal. I have cleared the cache and still do not see the clicks in the admin portal.
March 9, 2017 at 11:04 pm #22757bubbakwb3MemberI just tried it again and now the transaction is not showing up in either the clickthrough menu or the affiliate portal. Hmm? Ideas?
March 9, 2017 at 11:07 pm #22758adminKeymasterWho is hosting provider? Is your hosting provider doing database caching?
Which caching plugin are you using?
March 9, 2017 at 11:32 pm #22759bubbakwb3MemberI use dream host. How do I find out if they are doing database caching? BTW – I am not a tech guy so I don’t even know what a caching plugin is? I am on Chrome. (that is where I cleared the cache) I have a wordpress.org site using Podcasting Websites interface. If you help me understand how to check what you are asking I will, just not my area of expertise. Thanks

Call the hosting provider’s tech support line and ask.
March 11, 2017 at 7:50 pm #22761bubbakwb3MemberLooks like we got it sorted out. Thanks for the assistance.
March 15, 2017 at 3:50 am #22762bubbakwb3MemberWell I thought I had this sorted out but I have more questions.
OK, so I created this pass through link – [http://www.speakingofpartnership.com/?wpap_pass_thru=https://app.webinarjam.net/register/8500/cf14e594c3] and it works great redirecting users to the webinar registration page. Clicks are tracked and visible in both the clickthrough data and the affiliate portal home page. So that means the cookie is placed for this user. So does that mean that no matter how they return to my page and make a purchase it will be tracked for that affiliate for as long as the cookie life is set?
My scenario specifically is user clicks on affiliate link > webinar reg page and registers > during webinar user clicks on offer link and goes to sales page > user clicks button on sales page and is redirected to registration form (Gravity Form) on my website where cookie was collected > User makes purchase through form and PayPal. With all of those steps will the user still be tracked via the cookie and the affiliate credited accordingly for the sale?
Thank you
March 15, 2017 at 11:36 pm #22763adminKeymasterYes, your assumption is correct.
You can always do a test transaction with a small amount to do a test.
