I’m trying to set up items for local pickup AND manual checkout (so basically they will be paying me cash upon ordering and then picking up locally but I’d still like to process the orders through my site). I’m just wondering if there is a way to create a coupon that will apply free shipping to the order AND give them a 10% discount on the item since I don’t have to deal with paypal fees when they are paying cash.
I tried to enter both the shipping discount and 10% off when I created a coupon and it would only apply the free shipping with that coupon, even though it lists 10% off in the coupon as well in the settings. Then, I tried to remove the shipping cost by adding in an option for local pickup with the negative value of the shipping in the “Shipping Variation” box but that only applies the exact amount I put in and won’t work for multiple item orders (since they will get charged shipping on each item).
Thanks in advance for your help.

So you can either give the customer a 10% discount or a free shipping option. If you want then I can tell you what teaks to do so you don’t have this restriction and can use multiple discounts in one checkout.

If this isn’t possible, it might be “easier” for me to tweak it so they can use multiple coupons – I’ll just have to be more careful which coupons are in the system. Thanks.

eStore – Multiple Coupons Per Checkout (Allow Coupon Stacking)
This should let you stack coupons and allow the customer to get the free shipping and the 10% coupon.
June 8, 2014 at 9:44 pm #27419jonathonfowlerMemberHi, I have a problem enabling Automatic Discount Feature ‘Free Shipping For Sub-total Over’ combined with a discount coupon code.
In the ‘Automatic Discount Settings’ I’ve checked ‘Use Automatic Discount Feature’ and enabled ‘Free Shipping For Sub-total Over £49.99’ – my client gets free shipping if they spend £50 or more.
But I also want to give some clients a £50 (or higher) voucher code, which applies a discount of £50 if they spend at least £50.
This means any client spending £50 or more will get a £50 discount, plus automatically receive free shipping.
Any other client without a voucher code will automatically get free shipping for spending £50 or more.
Unfortunately that’s not what happens. A client has just added good worth £50.70 to the basket, applied a £50 discount coupon code and expected to pay just £0.70, but when the goods were added to the basket a message in green text advised free shipping had been automatically applied. That is good and expected. Then they add the voucher code and click ‘apply’, and the shipping amount is re-added to the total, plus the cost of the last item in the cart.
Very confusing for the client. I’ve had to disable the free shipping option, and add the cost of shipping to their voucher as a temporary workaround. This is fine for clients who receive a voucher, but for other clients who buy direct from my site without a voucher, I want them to receive free shipping automatically.
Please advise how to get this working the way I would like, cheers.
June 8, 2014 at 9:51 pm #27420jonathonfowlerMemberEven stranger, my client just used a discount voucher which includes £50 discount for goods, plus £10.65 discount for postage – total voucher code value £60.65.
But when the code is applied to the basket, the total isn’t £0.70, it’s £25.62 – £10.65 for postage, plus £14.97 for products. This is very strange, the last item in the basket is being added to the total again after the voucher is applied……..
June 9, 2014 at 1:57 am #27421adminKeymasterYeah that is a little weird. I would like to check this on your admin side. I have sent you an email for it.
June 9, 2014 at 8:07 am #27422jonathonfowlerMemberCan I also ask, is there an alternative to the current setup? I currently use Nextgen Gallery, Wp eStore with product variations and coupon codes/free post over a certain value, eStore nextgen gallery Addon, Extra Shortcodes for WP estore. payments accepted via PayPal only.
Are any of your products an ‘all in one’ alternative to all these plugins, which offers the same functionality as my current setup?
Cheers.
