MemberOn the affiliate signup page, clicking the “Check Availability” button generates a “Please wait…” message that never confirms or denies the availability of the username.

ParticipantThis will happen if it can’t connect to the database. Did you change the location of the “Affiliate” directory?
Please post a link to your registration page so I can check it out too.

MemberI did move the affiliate directory, but everything else is working as far as connecting to the database is concerned. Our affiliate page is here: http://www.phpurchase.com/phpoet/affiliates/
Incidentally, I also had this exact same problem when I was signing up to be an affiliate on your site as well.

ParticipantI have the same problem as phpoet. Is there a solution?
I also changed the location of the “affiliate” directory via the copy method and everything else seems to be working. And I had the same problem when signing up as an affiliate on your website as well.
I’m using v.4.0.
The website is: http://proseocontent.com/affiliates/
Thanks in advance!

ParticipantI just checked your “check availability” button and seems to be working fine. Remember AJAX queries gets cached in your browser so if you have recently moved the directory structure then delete your browser cache.

ParticipantAh. Thanks again for the fast replies (as always) and super support! Alright, good to know that it’s just my cache. Keep up the great work!

MemberHi,
I’m testing the installation and I have the same problem.
I didn’t change the location of any directory.
If usefull, I’m using the on page affiliate solution ’cause the stand alone page doesn’t work, at the moment, with me.
My registration page is here:

Thank you

KeymasterHi, It looks like that other issue mentioned here is actually causing this issue too:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/invalid-url-error-in-general-settings
So please get your hosting provider to sort that one out first and then the rest will start to work.
