SpectatorHello,
I bought eStore yesterday and i use it in French.
I have problems with special characters.
If I use an accent in a text field, this one is immediatly changed after saving.
Example: “Méthode” become “Méthode”. If I save again without changing anything, it becomes “MÃ?©thode” etc…
Accent also in the file languages/fr.php are not displayed correctly in wordpress.
Example: “Quantité” become “Quantit”. By the way, accent I use in wordpress pages are shown correctly.
How can I fix this problem ?
Best regards
Dimitri

Participant@lekiend, I having sent an updated version of the plugin which should fix the accent issue. Also, update your PayPal profile to use UTF-8 character for IPN:

MemberI have the same problem in the mails sent to buyer and to admin
if there is an accented character in {product_details} field.
It’s not displayed correctly.
“Une pensée” is displayed as “Une pense”
not working if encoding é with é
“Une pensée” is displayed as “Une pensée”
So, what to do ?

Membersorry, I must try to block the rendering with code tag
Code:“Une pensée” is displayed as “Une pensée”I put the line twice with underscore to be sure to block the é rendering
Code:“Une pens&_eacute;e” is displayed as “Une pens&_eacute;e”July 28, 2012 at 10:59 pm #16148admin
KeymasterHi, You need to fix your PayPal profile and specify to use UTF-8 character set for the IPN. This post will explain more:
