When clicking on the ‘Cart’ and ‘Checkout’ menus, I get a 404 Error page with the following text:

    “Not Found

The requested URL /blog/store/cart was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”

I get the equivalent for checkout where /cart is instead /checkout

I am running the basic WordPress 2010 theme.

The link to my cart is: [http://20k.com/blog/store/cart]

The link to check out is: [http://20k.com/blog/store/checkout]

I also attempted to regenerate default pages, and that did not help.

When you go to the pages menu in wordpress and search for cart, what do you get?

I get two results when I search for cart in the pages menu:

    — Cart | Parent Page: Store

    Published

    — Checkout | Parent Page: Store

Edit | Quick Edit | Trash | View

So when you edit the first page from your results above, do you see the following shortcode inside that page’s contents?

    [WPS_show_cart]

What happens when you click the “view page” button when you’re inside the wordpress page edit screen for that particular page?

Yes, I see [WPS_show_cart] which is below the text “Your Shopping Cart” which is below an icon of a shopping cart

What happens when you click “view page” button? It’s supposed to take you to the front end….do you see the page or 404 error?

When I click “view page” I see this:

    Not Found

The requested URL /blog/store/cart/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I don’t think this is a specific photo seller issue. I have a hunch that something else is causing this.

Do you have a caching plugin? If so, can you deactivate it and try again?

If that doesn’t work, please try the following tests:

    I’m afraid neither made a difference :(

    1. I believe I am using a default WP theme (twenty ten), is there a more default one than that?

    2. I deactivated each plugin I had (except WP Photo Seller obviously) and still get the 404 error. I’ve listed my installed plugins below:

    – Askimet

    – Amazon Product in a Post Plugin

    – Disable Comments

    – Exclude Pages from Navigation

    – Google AdSense

    – Google Analytics by Yoast

    – Hello Dolly

    – iThemes Security

    – Jetpack

    – Mobile Theme Ads for Jetpack

    – WordPress SEO (Yoast)

    – WP Custom CSS (it is empty)

    – WP Photo Seller

As far as I know, none of those are caching plugins.

Should the cart be located in /store/cart/?

Seems like some URL re-writing issue on your server. What happens if you create a new page (just a test page). Can you access that WordPress page from the front side?

Yes…..but the issue is that the page is not being recognised by your server irrespective of what the shortcode or contents inside it are. For some reason your server is not able to resolve the URL of that page.

    Can you try the following:

Go to the wordpress permalinks settings page and reset them to the “default” and save your settings. Then select the “Post Name” option and save the settings again. Let me know if that fixes things.

If the problem is still occurring, try creating a test page manually from the pages menu and publish it and then see if you can view it from the front end.

Yes I can create new pages which work, AND I just discovered that the problem seems to be related to the ‘Store’ page.

When I move ‘Cart’ and ‘Checkout’ out from under store (they had the ‘Store’ page set as their parent), they start working.

However, Store still returns a 404 error. Currently, Store is still a parent for ‘IPN,’ ‘Receipt,’ and ‘Thank You.’

Should I pull those out as well?

Wait…no…now view cart doesn’t work after adding an image.

Now when I add an image, the ‘View Cart’ button that appears in the confirmation page directs to: http://20k.com/blog/photogallery/photo_details/, not the cart and I get the following message:

“This page is for displaying the details of a selected photo. Please click on a photo from one of the galleries to see the details.”

If I then click on the cart menu in the strip above, that takes me to the actual cart…but then the green checkout button doesn’t work (the ‘checkout’ button in the menu strip does),

BUT, I never make it through checkout (i.e. Paypal), I am sent back to:

“Your shopping cart is empty. Please add some items to the shopping cart.”

    I have a feeling this isn’t how it’s supposed to work. ;)

Hi, I also tried resetting permalinks, and that has not fixed it either.
