Can I make estore download links last forever?

I’ve had a look around on the forums and wasn’t able to find an answer to this question. In my webstore I sell mp3 files that I would prefer for my customers to be able to download for as long as they like, as many times as they like.

I’ve experimented with quite a few combinations of settings and I’m still not having any luck.

At the moment my general settings are:

Duration of download link – 24hours (which seems to be the default)

Download limit count – left blank

And in the individual product settings, I have also left these two fields blank but it is causing a problem whereby the encrypted links that the customer receives have already expired when they receive it (directly after making a purchase).

So I’ve got two questions:

1) How can I fix the above problem so that my links start working again? Or What is causing the links to have already expired?

2) Is it possible to have everlasting links? How?

10 years = 87648 hours, including 2 leap years

Or, you can just use a very large number.

Once a link is marked as “expired,” they must get new links; either by you manually giving them new links or through the [wp_eStore_download_link_sender] shortcode:

Ha – cool, thanks. I didn’t realise that I could put more than 999 in that field. This has restored all of my links – thanks.

What’s even cooler is telling someone their links are only valid for 87,648 hours and watching them panic, LOL.
