Hi
When someone buys this product (either manually or via pay pal) http://rowancobelli.com/a-week-in-the-life-of-a-yogi-2 (scroll down to see product) I’d like them to go into the ‘Week in the Life’ list in my mailchimp account as set in the global settings and in the product setting (I’m sure these are right). However when I buy manually and press the ‘confirm order’ button I get the below error on a new page. I haven’t tested Pay Pal payment yet. Can you advice please. Thanks, Mark

Did you make a typo when you entered the API key or the username and password in the eStore’s mailchimp settings menu? Are you using the API key option or the username and password method for mailchimp authentication?
June 9, 2011 at 8:38 pm #33124rowancobelliMemberThanks for getting back to me. I have 4 lists in mailchimp. I tried an API and it didn’t work. I tried generating a new API and that didn’t work. I then tried my user name and password and still no joy. What do you think?? You use the list name e.g. mine is DVD as opposed to the list number don’t you e.g. 4
Also you just type DVD in the box, you don’t have to put ‘ around it e.g. ‘DVD’
Thanks, Mark

Since you are 100% sure that you have a few lists in your account then the above error can only happen if the API credentials are wrong. I will send you an email to get site access so I can do some further investigation.
Please setup the following test scenario and I will check it out when I jump on your site:

1. The following plugin is causing a conflict when trying to use the MailChimp API
MailChimp Widget
Detailed expiation here (see the “MailChimp Widget” plugin section):
When you deactivate this plugin the api works fine.
2. The other issue is that you specified the following field to be a required field for your list subscribe:
MMERGE4
Please note that eStore will signup with just the “Name” and “Email” address so you cannot have any extra field as a required field for this list otherwise the list subscribe will fail. Please edit the settings of this list and correct it.
