Automatic Discount Settings

I’ve tried to set up an Automatic Discount but it’s not working! I chose dollar amount to take off purchase based on quantity purchased. when I go to test it, i select the quantity that should trigger the discount but….. nothing….I even went to the summary page at Paypal just before signing in to paypal to make the payment…..discount was not applied! Don’t know what to do?

Which version of eStore are you using?

Have you ensured that you have enabled “Use Automatic Discount Feature” checkbox?

Make sure that coupon you created is not expired or hasn’t exhausted its redemption limit.

Can you please share a link to the page where I can go and add items to the cart to see the behavior?

The coupon code that you specified to be applied for auto discount, does it have another condition in it?

Have you ensured that you have enabled “Use Automatic Discount Feature” checkbox?

Yes however, it does not remain checked when checking the coupon in edit mode.(?)

Make sure that coupon you created is not expired or hasn’t exhausted its redemption limit.

It is an automatic one time use for the purchase of a TOTAL quantity over 2, a zero and a 1 tried in the “redemption count” field (don’t understand what that is), no date entered in “expiry date” field.

I’m sorry I don’t understand that question. Did I answer that question in the comment above about total quantity over 2? No coupon is automatically applied in the shopping cart table….I’ve clicked the checkout with paypal button and the discount is still not applied. (?)

Hi,

Ok let’s first get you up to the latest version of eStore and then we’ll take it from there.

Please install the latest version by following the instructions here:

Regarding the coupon, create a new one and make sure that you leave the “Redemption Limit”, “Redemption Count” and “Expiry Date” blank when saving your coupon.

When configuring the “Automatic Discount Settings” section enter the coupon code of the coupon you just created and ensure that you enable the “Use Automatic Discount Feature” checkbox and then set the other configurations details to suit your needs and then click the Update button within that section.

Great! thanks for this step towards a fix! I’ll move on it. One question. uploading the latest version won’t require me to re-enter all my products will it?

You do not lose your products or settings data that you have already saved when you upgrade the plugin.
