I have puchased and installed both your affiliate and estore plugins, they look great and I’m really excited about them.
my programmer said that he was having various different problems with the theme catalyst http://catalysttheme.com/ when he installed it with the plugins. (missing buttons, flaky behaviour etc) When he removed them it worked again.
before I get crazy and start reinstalling etc, figured I’d ask if this is a known problem and or if you have other theme builder programs you suggest that your plugins play better with. (Headway, Genesis, Ithemes builder, etc)
many thanks

We also have a list of plugins which don’t play nice. Please have a look here –
Thesis, Headway, Genesis are well known and properly coded themes and they all work well with our plugins.
February 25, 2011 at 9:05 pm #29186blazeinternetMemberOkay, so I returned Catalyst and purchased Headway. I think I like it better anyway, so that’s cool.
BUT
I’m having the same problems, the site just keeps locking up to differing degrees. It’s unstable.
I’ve completely installed everything, including wordpress all over again, etc.
There are a lot of possible problems I know. So before I get crazy with a ton of specifics or try reloading yet again…
Is there any common known problem when using your plugins or programs like headway, where pages just stop coming up in the backend? I can usually get to the dashboard and often other pages. but various pages having to do with plugins are usually effected. I’m also wondering if there is something that could be strange about my cloud host that causes this. I use Rackspacecloud.com “sites”.
This latest time it’s the entire backend except for the dashboard, but that happened immediately after I used the 3.1 wordpress upgrade. So perhaps that’s part of the issue
If nothing here is ringing a bell, I was thinking of trying a new install again (catalyst was originally loaded on this install). But if it’s still having these problems, can I give someone login info to take a look at it?
Thank you

February 26, 2011 at 3:03 am #29188blazeinternetMemberI am using your products fine so far without headway, when I add it, the problems are with the entire wordpress backend. For example I click to add another plugin and the page is blank, it always seems a bit different each time which is not surprising
right now I’m using your two products and will get everything working with those, then I’ll try to add headway again. But every time I combine you guys with catalyst or headway, I get same issues.
thanks

You are close to the allocated memory limit of your server. Adding these plugins and the theme (they are a bit bigger than usual themes or plugins) is pushing that limit. Ask your hosting provider how much allocated RAM you have for your hosting account.
February 27, 2011 at 1:16 am #29190blazeinternetMemberok, I’m asking them about it thanks… let you know what they say
I was thinking it prob was something like that…
makes sense
February 27, 2011 at 12:50 pm #29191blazeinternetMemberThat was the problem, THANKS!
I installed a memory plugin and my load was about 33m
and found out my server uses 32m,
I just had to add
“php_value memory_limit 64M”
to my .htaccess file and that bumped the total memory up to 64.
