I’ve just had to rebuild my site and I’m having a similar error to last week. I can’t stamp pdf’s without getting a fatal error.
The message I’m getting is:
An error occurred while trying to stamp the file!
Fatal error:
The encoded file [path to file] is corrupt. in Unknown on line 0
I have requested an automatic update, downloaded both estore and pdf stamper and uploaded them again. Actually, I did that twice just in case I’d messed up the first download…
I can generate an encrypted link through estore for the file, but can’t manually stamp the pdf.
Ignore this – I did another automatic update, downloaded another copy of the zip file, and this time it all works. I have no idea why it seems so hit and miss for me to upload these, but it’s working again so it’s all good.
How are you uploading the files?
Originally I was saving them, unzipping and uploading them using Filezilla. This last time (that worked) I saved the zip to my hardrive and uploaded it via the Plugins installer as a zip file.
Is it possible that something that simple is the reason I’ve been having issues?
Usually, I upload the zip file using FTP, and then unzip it on the server. That way the act of unzipping it would alert me to any corruptions that took place during the upload.
It is best if you do the plugin upload via WordPress’s plugin upload function. You can find it by going to the following area:
WordPress dashboard -> Plugins -> Add New -> Upload
Hello, I have a problem like this.
When I try to run a manual stamp, it show this message:
The encoded file [path-to-file] requires a license file in Unknown on line 0
I try to upload twice and no changes.
Any solution?
Thanks.
Please load a fresh new copy of the plugin:

It is important that you delete the currently installed copy of the plugin from your site then download a new copy from our server and install it via WordPress’s plugin uploader menu.
