Tagged: amazon aws, Bucket Names, estore, file corrupted, S3
I tried it with Google, Opera, Safari and Firefox and they all have the same issue- they open the file and the purchased can’t download the file- The only workaround that I found is to instruct them to right click the link with the save as button
Also shouldn’t this be anon? Can i make this a CNAME? Is this done through Amazon?
Auto open…
On my system, under Chrome/Options/Under The Hood, it says “You have chosen to open certain file types automatically after downloading.”
Naturally, whenever I click on an MP3 link, it auto plays. If I want to override the auto play, I must right click and select “Save As.”
That’s just the way Windows works.
The link the buyer receives, is an eStore encrypted link, which regulates the number of hours and times that particular download is valid. After eStore validates the link, control is handed off to Amazon S3. The URL that is displayed during the S3 download process expires within 5 minutes of the hand-off.
