Customer buys PDF and receives link with no problem- Download’s link and file shows up on customers computer Receipt emailed from PayPal
Customer receives File ALWAYS says “PDF cannot be opened file may be damaged and file could not be recognized”
Tried this on other computers- Still having the same issue- Big Problem could use the help
Thanks Don
Note: Does AMAZON AWS allow a limit on digital downloads or an expiring link?
November 16, 2011 at 12:50 am #38534adminKeymasterAre you using PDF stamper option with these PDF files?
Its a good idea to check the following two posts when you are having an issue with the encrypted download links:

How to Test WP eStore Plugin's Encrypted Download System on Your Site
Yes, the limit and expiry on digital download link will work with Amazon S3 option too.
November 17, 2011 at 5:46 pm #38535rundaddyMemberI want to let you know that there is a problem and maybe a bug- I worked on this for hours finally, in the back end of the WP estore admin tab there is a function to turn on or off the ability to send an anonymous download link.
When the link is active (anon) the file sent to the customer is damaged
When the link is inactive (which reveals the download source) the file is perfect.
Can you tell me if there are any ways to work around this issue? I have replicated it on different computers.
Also can you point me to more detail about the Amazon integration- By the way the same issue accured when I moved the PDF file that was downloaded from my host to Amazon!
Thanks,
Don

When downloading from Amazon, eStore simply hands off the download request. So if the file is still corrupted, it means it wasn’t properly uploaded.
How large is the file in question, and have you tried any of the other download methods?

1. I tired every DL’s method- no success
The problem is the anonymous dl’d’ when it’s on there’s an error when it’s off it works perfectly
2. file is under 1MB
January 12, 2012 at 9:36 pm #38538wzpModerator1. @Admin had previously asked if you were also trying to use PDF Stamper with this file.
2. Is this problem only happening with a particular PDF file, or with all PDF files? Are other file types affected as well?
3. “By the way the same issue accured when I moved the PDF file that was downloaded from my host to Amazon!” That would be expected, because you simply uploaded a damaged file to Amazon. I’m sure that if you uploaded a working file from your computer directly to Amazon, that situation would be corrected.
