Are the affiliate IDs case sensitive?
I am trying to allow people to enter them into a box on the checkout form but it keeps saying that there is no matching coupon codes (coupons are not active)
January 30, 2017 at 1:09 pm #75071wzpModeratorAm I correct, that you are using the Apply Discount Automatically to eStore Cart for Affiliate Referred Customers addon?
If so, did you enable the “Auto Discount” menu link from the main Affiliate plugin’s admin menu? And also set the discount percentage?
January 30, 2017 at 2:33 pm #75072uktwMemberNo, I am not using that add-on
January 30, 2017 at 2:51 pm #75073wzpModeratorIn which case, you are required to have a matching coupon, for EVERY affiliate ID.
January 31, 2017 at 9:52 am #75074uktwMemberWhen I look at the Click-throughs report I see several clicks for affiliate rmji and several more for affiliate RMJI …. this implies that the checking is case sensitive which is awkward when you are asking people to type in the affiliate ID
January 31, 2017 at 10:01 am #75075uktwMemberIn fact, earnings are also reported separately on the affiliate homepage against rmji and RMJI … however, when I go to the payment page they are combined into just one payment … this is confusing as the summary page splits details
January 31, 2017 at 12:59 pm #75076wzpModeratorWhat does RMJI see on his tracking page? Does RMJI see the merged “rmji” statistics (as he should)?
January 31, 2017 at 4:03 pm #75077uktwMemberyes. it is only the summary page that seems case sensitive
January 31, 2017 at 4:38 pm #75078wzpModeratorOne of the developers will have to determine if this is an incorrect behavior.
January 31, 2017 at 11:55 pm #75079adminKeymasterI would like to understand why you have two different IDs for the same affiliate in the first place. Why do you have “RMJI” and “rmji” and where is that coming from?
How are you doing the following? Are you using an addon or a shortcode from our plugin or is that something you are custom coding?
I am trying to allow people to enter them into a box on the checkout form
February 16, 2017 at 12:16 pm #75080uktwMemberYour system is reporting RMJI and rmji separately, as far as I am concerned they are the same affiliate but when people enter them into the affiliate id box on the checkout, or when they manually enter the affiliate URL then I cannot forrce them to use the right case … you should unify the case internally

@uktw, the question being asked is: How are you getting the input on the checkout form?
- You are using one of our addons or an eStore shortcode?
- You are using your own inout box, or custom code?
Please answer the question first.
