I installed the WP eStore plugin no problem, but now I am having issues getting the buttons to work.
I made a test page here:
The add to cart button does nothing, but the buy button works on this page.
Strangely, the add to cart button did show items in a cart when I first installed the plugin, but has since stopped working. It doesn’t add anything to a cart at all.
(Don’t know if this is relevant, but I purchased the plugin originally because using the paypal code with no plugin didn’t do anything but redirect to the top of the page. WP Simple Shopping cart plugin worked fine, so I upgraded.)
On the actual product page where I want the buy now button to work, it doesn’t work at all. I put an add to cart button first, but that didn’t work. (Simple shopping cart plugin did seem to be working on this page though).
Here’s the page where nothing works: [http://www.handmaderesults.com/promo/]
Please help!
(Further info: also trying to integrate with Wishlist member although haven’t reached that far yet. There are no cache plugins. The site is the main domain on a multi-domain hostgator business package)

Just to double check… you have one of the following shortcode somewhere on this page
[http://www.handmaderesults.com/estore-test-page]
[wp_eStore_cart]
or
[wp_eStore_cart_when_not_empty]If you do then which one?
May 11, 2011 at 2:37 pm #32284christinegMemberThis is all the shortcode on the page:
[wp_eStore:product_id:3:end]
[wp_eStore_fancy2 id=3]
[wp_eStore_buy_now_fancy id=3]
[wp_eStore_cart_fancy1]
[wp_eStore_cart_fancy1_when_not_empty]
You’ll notice if you go to the page, there is also a shopping cart on the sidebar. Nothing gets added anywhere.

The page looks like it is having rendering issue (broken HTML somewhere).
I can see that you are using the W3 Total Cache plugin. Did you follow this post?

Can you also do this test and let me know what you find?

May 12, 2011 at 5:10 pm #32286christinegMemberHi,
I fixed the issue with the css styling not showing up by disabling the W3 Total Cache plugin. I just installed it as per the post you referred to but I guess I didn’t do it correctly or it needs tweaking. In any case, that’s something to deal with later.
I did the tests you recommended:
I change the them to twenty-ten, the same results.
I disabled all the plugins except the ones on your list
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/list-of-the-best-and-must-use-wordpress-plugins-535
The add-to-cart still doesn’t work.
I made a new buy button – it seems to work on the [http://www.handmaderesults.com/promo/]
page so I’m not sure why the other one didn’t work – same configuration.
But at least it works.
Anything else to check for for the add-to-cart button?
