oops! sorry, i forgot to include the URL where i’m having the issue. it’s a site i’m building that’s currently in sandbox mode, at http://latinhymns.com/store
the problem only appears in firefox. i have already changed my eStore_payment_submission.php file as you recommended, and that seemed to clear up the issue. however, now the shopping cart remains full even after checkout.
thanks,
ernest
January 5, 2011 at 9:38 pm in reply to: Empty Shopping Cart Error When Checking Out with PayPal #26426teamilluminatiMemberI just finished reading this earlier post:
“Lets try this tweak first to make sure that the issue is related to what I think it is:
Open the “eStore_payment_submission.php” file and search for the following line of code:
reset_eStore_cart();
When you find it just delete it (there will be a few occurrences so delete them all).
Now do a checkout and let me know how it behaves. yes the cart will not get cleared after the purchase but I have a solution for that.”
Amin, can you please describe what that solution is?
thanks,
Ernest
teamilluminatiMemberok i’m guessing “copy the affiliates directory and put it where you want it” assumes that it is being moved, and only exists in one place….. can you reassure me that that is what you meant before i delete it from its original location? i took what you said literally, and copied the directory to the location i wanted, so that there are now 2 copies.
teamilluminatiMemberi’m not trying to have both views at the same time, i just followed your instructions, and you didn’t say anything about what to do with the “affiliate” folder in it’s original location. so should i delete the one at ../../../affiliates after copying it to the root directory?
teamilluminatiMemberi updated things selectively, and only left the original CSS and header file in. now, there’s a strange discrepancy between my shortcode affiliate area and my normal /affiliate area. the normal /affiliate area has my replacement graphic in correctly:
http://teamilluminati.com/affiliates/login.php
and the shortcode displays without my new graphic:
http://teamilluminati.com/affiliate-login/
can you advise on what i need to do to control the header inside the affiliate area that the shortcode uses?
thanks

teamilluminatiMemberi have customized the CSS as well as the header.php file for the affiliate platform, and i’m using different images. can you advise me on the best way to update this plugin without losing my changes?
teamilluminatiMemberok thanks, i’ll try that
teamilluminatiMemberok, i found the “option 2” shortcode in the tutorial, tried it, and it doesn’t work- it just displays the short code on the newly created page as if it’s a line of text:
teamilluminatiMemberI have 2 related questions:
1. how do i select or activate “Option 2”? i can’t find any documentation that shows how to do this.
2. i have moved my affiliates directory to my root directory, as you recommended at: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-affiliate/how-to-changecustomize-the-url-of-the-affiliate-view-42
i originally did this because i thought this was the “option 2” you mentioned, but alas it is not. it’s still cool though, but i have an important question: what should i do with the original affiliate directory located in the plugins directory? is it going to cause problems when i start signing people up? should i delete or rename it?
thanks,
ernest

November 16, 2010 at 6:53 am in reply to: Resizing image for Shopping Cart or using a different image #26570teamilluminatiMemberthanks! it worked great. I have one other question though- can you advise me on how to customize the “add to cart” button? maybe with a different image, or maybe making the mouse change to a little hand when it hovers?
i’d like to make it stand out more- change the color or something.
the url is:

[wp_eStore_cart]
