Thank you.
So the user I send a password protected PDF to simply removes the password protection from the PDF (or changes it to something they want) before distributing it. Can that be done in Acrobat Reader of the person does not have Acrobat Pro or DC?? I did a test but because I have the pro DC version it wouldn’t let me edit the protection in the reader, kept pushing me to open the the pdf in DC
Thanks again

sentinel42MemberOK thank you for suggestion to simply password protect a PDF. Not the best solution as that would mean the same PW for multiple purchasers and users of the same PDF but that’s OK. PDF Stamper seems to place a notice on each page which is overkill for my needs.
To clarify one of my questions… bypassing the license manager entirely, does using a serial key require the buyer of the PDF document to enter the serial key to open (use) it and if so is that serial key input required each time the document is reopened including, for example, by other people?

sentinel42MemberHello
I am wanting to license digital PDFs from estore to firms who can then, because they now have a license, distribute it to others, for example their members at no cost. If I simply use Serial key codes I assume the original buyer must enter the serial key to open the product…but what about those they distribute the same PDF to? (could be hundreds). Will they need the same serial key to open the PDF and if so would there be a limit to how often it could be used i.e. # of domains? Or does the # of domains only come into play using the license manager plugin to auto generate the license #?
Thanks for your help.
