I have found the problem. It was caused by the fact that I put both the “available copies” AND the “quantity limit per customer” to 1 (I already said that in my initial post on the subject). By emptying the “quantity limit per customer” case, it works as it should. So I guess this is a bug in the plug-in software.
lucvryensMemberCould it be that it wants to add 2 each time I click on the Add to cart button (mine is called “Voeg toe aan het wagentje”)? That would fit the errors: the maximum exceeded the first time and only one taken into account, already in the cart the second time (the one that passed the first click).
lucvryensMemberAs far as I can tell, I have removed all other plug-ins I tried (actually deleting them to make sure all their code would be removed as well) and I have made some changes to the ET Estore theme but the problem is still there. If you can’t do with what I told you sofar, I will be obliged to put the website online with the problems it currently has. I guess it is possible to give only access through logon id and password but I’ll have to find out. I would prefer to fix all problems before going live.
lucvryensMemberUnfortunately my website is not online yet as it still is in development mode (currently on an XAMPP platform on my desktop with WordPress 3.5, Elegant Themes Estore theme ands Tips & Tricks Estore plugin.
Have you never seen a similar problem before? Could it be related to the ET Estore theme? Your support people told me there are some changes needed when using the ET Estore theme but I don’t know what the changes are.
lucvryensMemberI have another (similar) problem apparently. I have set the the “Available copies” to 1 and the “Quanttity Limit Per Customer to 1 in the Inventory Control section of the product item and when I try to purchase the item, it says “Item limit exceeded! You cannot purchase any more copies of this item” even if it is the first time I want to purchase the item. In addition, it seems to be in the shopping cart because and when I go back to the products page and try to purchase it again it says “Item already exists in the cart”.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Luc

I got my thumbnails showing on the product page as it should. I guess I should upload the website, even unfinished to a webserver. Can you advise me on a good web server hosting company with a small yearly fee? The reason I’m bringing this up now is that I realized that probably all my links (to pages, media, etc…) will be wrong and the longer I wait, the more extra work I would have to do.
Thanks again,
Luc
March 30, 2013 at 9:01 am in reply to: eStore – Thumbnails not showing – Only showing missing image icon #50228lucvryensMemberI don’t know why my reply to this post I entered yesterday disappeared but here it is again.
I have a similar problem but the difference is that my website is not online yet but under xampp on my computer where I have WordPress 3.5, Elegant Themes Estore theme and T&T Estore plugin installed. I’m trying to build a website to sell paintings (one of each). Of course I would like to add a thumbnail next to the product on the product page but when I try to upload it from my picture folder to my product page, I also get the “missing” icon for the picture.
The link says “http://localhost/wordpress/?attachment id=433”. When I enter this link on my ie browser, I get to see the picture on a “media”. How can I make it work so that the picture shows on the product page? Is it an ET Estore related problem?
