You are correct. I did not understand they needed to be sent to a thank you page. I was sending them to the registration page.
I CAN click on the link in the email – that works perfectly. And I just need to create a thank you page that tells them to read that email and click the link. THANK YOU!
LoriHMemberOne update – I just re-checked the debug files – and they ARE working. And there are no “FAIL” or “FAILURE”s all – “SUCCESS”. Not sure what else to look for.
LoriHMemberI had confirmed steps 1 and 2 before posting yesterday. But to be safe, I just walked through them both again.
When testing #3 – I DO get the registration email with a link that registers the user for the right type of membership. That’s good.
But after the payment itself, I’m taken to the wrong page. I’ve checked and rechecked the paypal button – and it shows the correct page in those settings.
As for using the debug feature, I tried reading and following the steps – I’m using emember not estore, and so I can’t find some of the settings… And I can’t get the paypal.php to show anything when it opens… and my debug files seem to be empty. I tried changing the file permissions for the log files to be write-able – but they still show up empty. I can’t seem to get the debugging to work. I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong.
LoriHMemberI’m having a similar issue. I’m testing a paid membership with emember. I do NOT have free memberships.
I’m using wp 3.5.2 and eMember v. 8.6.2 (should all be current)
The test link for paypal is: [https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=J446Z8N7WJN5G]
Which should take you to the registration form at: [http://unearthyourworth.com/join-us/registration/]
Instead I get this message:
Free membership is disabled on this site!
Please visit the Payment Page to pay for a membership
Now, free membership IS disabled, but this is a paid membership.
Also:
Paypal shows the payment has been processed.
But there is no actual registration option for the buyer. I do end up with a blank membership ID created. Not good.
I haven’t done anything to restrict my .htaccess file, but I’m not sure (if that’s the issue) what the proper permissions should be.
I can access the registration page using the backdoor method (reference the id: 5). But that’s not the way I’d like to go.
I’m stuck. Please help.
