Aha!! It was caused by a performance plugin setting to “defer parsing of javascript files”… All better now! Thank you for pointing me at the javascript errors.

We installed a fresh copy of the plugin last week in preparation for our Launch of this site over the weekend – has it been updated since?

I would also like to force fill the username field with email address. I have the same circumstances as gruenish, in that users will not talk with each other and don’t need the extra step of entering a username when we would prefer they use their email address anyway.

We have the login with email address add on and that is working well. I’ve added instructions next to the Username creation field to encourage users to enter their email address. Still it would be more user friendly if we could just pre-fill the field for them since we already have the data.

I have the Form Builder add on as well – however it does not accept the eMember shortcode in the field to pre-populate the field – it just shows the shortcode (bummer).

We definitely want email verification and already make users jump that hoop – this would be a nice one to remove from their registration process.

Anything you can suggest or offer is greatly appreciated – we are very pleased with the eMember and eStore plugins for our member-only content and digital products.
