I have fixed it myself.

the e-member plugin is not compatible with wordpress firewall plugin when upgrading to 3.8

when i disable that plugin, everything works fine.

When i upgraded my wordpress site from 3.7 to 3.8

the e-member plugin is just partly accessible. I could not access my member page anymore, but admin functions did work.

I requested the latest version of the e-member plugin and i remove the old plugin.

When i put the files of e-member on my ftp site, i did see the plugin in the plugins menu of wordpress.

However i cannot activate it, when i try to do so, i get my home page instead, and nothing is activated. Please help, cause my dating site is running on it and is not functioning anymore.
