Hi SanDiegoWebGuy,
I’ve implemented your change but am still getting the message that I am using illegal characters in the username. The plugins ability to create WP account has been disabled and I’ve toggled to make sure there wasn’t a bad cache or anything.
Thanks
ferrallradioMemberThanks for the prompt responses!!
User will have package options of blocks of days which they will pay for up front — not rolling payments. You are correct about the membership flow.
I must have borked something in my initial setup/testing and will review it again to ensure I haven’t done anything bone-headed. I will try and post back tonight with my status.
Thanks,
ferrallradioMemberUnfortunately my client has not purchased eStore (they are running eShop and the gold cart for WP eCommerce — one of the reasons they’re not too keen on another cart).
I will have to put some thought into the “drip feed”, I reviewed the article and it looks like I’m looking for the opposite of what this does.
So think of the categories as different types of memberships and then there are durations which are linear, so no matter what the duration the content is the same for as long as you purchase it. Let’s say I have a category for dogs and a category for cats, these are separate categories and a dog member will never see cat member content and vice versa. I would like to implement a pricing scheme where someone could sign up for the animal content of their choice but the pricing would differ depending on the duration of the package they sign up for. Something like: $2/day; $10/week; $20/month, etc. So if someone signs up on the 3rd of the month they get content for that day, the same content as the user who purchases a monthly package — they’re basically getting better pricing for bulk ordering.
I’ll review the “drip feed” article again and setup some tests but please do let me know if I am going down the wrong path so as not to waste effort.
Thank you very much,
