It seems that it’s because we tried to use:

this:

WP eMember->Member Bulk Import

which I think comes with WP eMember.

We SHOULD HAVE used this:

WP eMember->Member Import & Update

I’m wondering if we can easily hide the first link in the sidebar?

Yes, we did use that add-on.

The error states:

“This account registration is not complete yet. It is waiting for the user to click on the unique registration completion link and complete the registration by choosing a username and password.”

The field ‘Account State’ is set to ‘active’.
