AripMember
Hi, thanks, this was very useful too. Now the follow up: I also wish to change the link itself. If customer clicks the link he is directed by the plugin to page x (join-us). From page x he needs to click again to go to page Y (join-us/registration/). How to change the first link to direct to the page Y and not to X?
Thanks
June 12, 2014 at 10:18 am in reply to: Site crash when updating Database Prefix in All In One WP Security #63571AripMemberThanks, that is good to know. How about the prefix issue. Am I safe if I make first a DB Backup and then let the plugin generate the Prefix? Do I need to deactivate other plugins before this?
Thanks again.
June 10, 2014 at 6:09 am in reply to: Site crash when updating Database Prefix in All In One WP Security #63569AripMemberThanks, I use WP Virtue theme from [http://www.kadencethemes.com/]
(see my second post, I had question about this, I was wondering if you would know
how it works with eMember+eStore)
I have checked the theme with the http://validator.w3.org/
It was successfully checked as HTML5 (with two minor warnings-NO errors).
I have done the validation test many times. I downloaded all your free themes and tested them one by one. I expected them to pass the test, but there are some errors here and there.
Extra errors come when I activate your security plugin. I have done the test few times
without and with it?
I only have two other plugins (contactform7+Google analytics) and I tested all configurations. It is always the security plug in which adds errors.
Could you also test this? It would be interesting to see if you get the same result.
Try only virtue+security. It will take only few minutes.
The eStore+ eMember seems to work great, I just worry about the security plugin errors.
Thanks a lot!
June 9, 2014 at 6:08 am in reply to: Site crash when updating Database Prefix in All In One WP Security #63567AripMemberThanks,
I let the plugin create the prefix (see my first message 3rd line)
What about the error list I got (from http://validator.w3.org/)
After activating the security plug I got 7 more errors
Should I edit the code lines as they suggest?
Or is it something you will do when you are updating the plugin?
June 7, 2014 at 9:43 pm in reply to: Site crash when updating Database Prefix in All In One WP Security #63565AripMemberThanks, that was before I could post it here. Now I have bought the Plugins I thought this would be a better place. Anyway it was a big surprise. Good the you suggested to make database backup, I actually thought I wouldn´t need it.
I have some follow up questions regarding this plugin if you don´t mind.
I red your great blog post “when-themes-go-wild-importance-of-using-a-properly-coded-wordpress-theme-2270”. You suggest to test a theme with http://validator.w3.org/
I was hoping that your “Enterprise Twenty Thirteen Child Theme” would be perfect (downloaded from your site) so I tested it. Please note that the security plugin was deactivated. Unfortunately there were 4 errors and 5 warnings. Now I have a theme from kadencethemes (virtue). There were only two errors. Then I activated your security plugin and I got 9 errors. Do you recommend to correct these manually? The first of them is : Line 10, Column 58: Bad value for attribute href on element link: Must be non-empty. <link rel=”shortcut icon” type=”image/x-icon” href=”” />
(the last > is in red color)
I am looking forward getting the security to the highest level, any help would be appreciated.
Another question is about the Virtue theme, it seems to work well. Have you heard about any complications with the eMember +eStore?
Thank you for your effort!
