One of my customers is receiving this message “You’ve reached your daily login quota.” He is a paying customer and cannot login. Is there a reason that this happens? Is there a solution? I have checked his membership and he is active.
Thanks!
The reason that *particular* member receives the error, is they are logging in from more than X different IP addresses per day. The value is set by WP –> eMembers –> Settings –> Login Restriction by IP Address.
Normally, the value is empty, so there is no limit. For whatever reason, you decided to populate that field.
Unless all of your members have static IP addresses, “1” is an unreasonable value. “4” would be more reasonable. If that member uses a smartphone to access your site, the value may need to be set even higher. But the thing to ask is, why did you feel it was necessary? Are you afraid of members sharing their login credentials? Or is it fear of the bogyhacker?
