MemberI’ve searched the forum but haven’t yet seen the answer for my situation…
I want to use a Youtube video with a thumbnail (anchor) image. The window pops up, the title appears, etc., but the videos don’t play. I’ve tried different combinations of settings for the past several hours.
[wp_lightbox_fancybox_youtube_video link=”http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkgQp_iReVs”
title=”SLSG Soccer Skills DVD” source=”http://slsgdvd.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/SLSG-video_thumb.png”%5D
Suffusion Theme
Thanks in advance.

ModeratorHi, I think your shortcode is broken (when you copied it from the PDF file). There is a big space between the link and title attributes. Try copying the exact shortcode from here –
[wp_lightbox_fancybox_youtube_video link="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkgQp_iReVs" title="SLSG Soccer Skills DVD" source="http://slsgdvd.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/SLSG-video_thumb.png"]
Let me know how it goes.

MemberThanks for the quick reply!
So, yes, when I copied your shortcode above it fixed the problem.
I find that in order to add videos without copying your shortcode I have to use Notepad to get it to copy correctly.
Any hints on how to avoid having to take this extra step?

ModeratorHi, Did you copy the shortcode while viewing in browser? Some browsers (example – Google Chrome) have built-in PDF viewer plugins so you can directly access it in the browser window. But these plugins are not as smart as adobe reader/acrobat. If you copy multiple lines they automatically insert newline characters, spaces on each line(which leads to a broken shortcode).
We already have instruction in the Plugin Usage section to save the PDF file (shortcode reference guide) first. This is so you can open it using your own adobe reader/acrobat. We also have a Shortcode Inserter (TinyMCE button for Lightbox Ultimate) in the page/post editor tab. You can insert most of the shortcodes to a post/page just by clicking it.
