Hi,
I’ve read through all the post.
I’ve made sure that the Site URL AND BLOG URL are consistent. They are.
I’ve changed the wp_eStore1.php code to ‘define(‘WP_ESTORE_SAVE_SESSION_TO_COOKIE’, true);’
I’ve got an email into my ISP to see if the server settings are set correctly.
OK!
My question is why is this working for some and not for others. It works when I purchase from different computers in my domain. It recently worked from someone who purchased from Hawaii. But another person who is trying to purchase gets the error message.
Any insight appreciated?
Thanks,
John…

I see so many hosting companies selling hosting account with half working PHP setup which causes PHP Session to not retain the values stored there. Please post a link to your product page and I will do some investigation.

It worked on two different Mac computers in my house. I called a friend and he tried it on his windows computer and the Paypal worked.
So I’m not sure what else I can do?
Thanks for any help,

The user that had the issue… do you know what browser cookie settings they were using? If you customize your browser security settings and do not allow cookies (some users like to do this without understanding) then this issue can also be seen since you are using the cookie method (not that standard session method)

Yea I have the same results you do. That’s why I’m baffled!
Thanks for confirming that it seems to be specific to him. Although he said he’s tried using Safari and Firefox on an iMac, iPad, and iPhone. He said he gets the error on all devices.
I will ask him to let me know what cookie security settings he’s using.
I’ll let you know what I discover.
Thanks,

June 10, 2011 at 5:21 pm #33208truegoldMemberHi,
OK, so I had him send me a screen shot of hist security settings in Safari and they are set Always accept cookies.
He’s tried it on 2 different computer (safari and firefox), his ipad, iphone and all get the same result. He even tried it off his network thinking the router was doing something, but same result….
So I am stumped!
Is there anything else to try or look for?
I suspect there are others out there in the same boat.
Thanks,
John…
June 10, 2011 at 6:14 pm #33209SabcatMemberI had an almost identical problem at the end of May. Customer in Liverpool trying to order a t-shirt and when they got to paypal their was nothing to pay for, no data carried across. I tested our site in firefox, IE6,7&8, chrome, opera everything appeared fine. Turned out to be a problem with Paypal, a day later it worked fine. I’ve just tried to find the thread on their community board about it but I can’t, too much “I want my money back for the fake watch on ebay” threads.
June 10, 2011 at 6:41 pm #33210truegoldMemberHey Sabcat,
Yea, it’s frustrating. He says he buys stuff via PayPal all the time.
So I’m stuck!
Thanks for sharing your experience.
