Hi,
First of all, great plugin. I got the 1.9 version and it works well. When I used that version on a fresh install of wp 2.9.1 on a new site it worked for a while until it stopped entering the prices in checkout.
After purchasing the new version and installing it I have problems with the download link location and adjusting of the width of the sidebar widget; problems that prevent going live. Another problem is within the wp adim – the plugin editor page is blank.
Attempts to fix include repairing database, checked settings, file names, tested urls and 1 reinstall.
Details:
– The download link – the mp3 files are on a storage site. When doing a live test the url, in the emails and the thank you page, was the website directory wp-digital-cart loation and not the storage url, as specified in product settings. Need the plugin to use the storage link.
– How can I change the width of the sidebar widget? Tried adding a width to the css file & resizing the delete images, didn’t work. I can’t increase the site’s column. Tried using a checkout page, but it was too wide. Prefer using the widget. Just need to nudge the delete images to the left by a few pixels and nudge the (empty cart) visit link to the right.
– When working in the wp admin plugins area, When this plugin is activated, the plugin-editor.php page is blank – get a white empty page and the url is to the php file. When this plugin is deactivated, the plugin editor is functional as normal.
This is a jazz artist, music, mp3 download store site. Its not live because of the download problem. Would really appreciate help with the first 2 problems so I can go live. Would eventually also like to figure out why I can’t see/use the plugin editor, but finishing is the priority. Will activate the site if seeing it helps solve the problem.
Enjoy using this plugin, other than the above problems it works well and I like the new features – especially the download link on the site page.
Thanks!

Which means the plugin won’t be able to stream the file and keep the download location hidden. You need to confirm with this 3rd party storage site that they allow an external PHP script to open and stream the file.
The narrow column sidebar issue will be handled here:
The 3rd issue is weird… not sure if it is conflicting with another plugin. Can you deactivate all the plugin (keeping only the eStore) and check the plugin editor page?

The product link with a checked anonymous download box was searching for the file in the plugin folder, while the unchecked box product downloaded from file den. Resolved for now, thank you.
Also the column width issue is resolved, thank you.
As for the plugin-editor page being blank & nonfunctional, that is still a problem. Deactivated all the plugins and tested one by one. Its only when the eStore plugin is activated I can’t use the plugin-editor, get a bank screen. Not browser related, same behavior in IE & Firefox. If I find the cause or something changes I will update.
But its enough to go live, thank you!

By not having that checkbox checked, the plugin simply lets the browser handle the download.
“As for the plugin-editor page being blank” – this is kind of bothering me though as it should not happen… did you modify any plugin code by any chance?
February 11, 2010 at 11:47 pm #17884ejazzMemberThe only modification is the widget width fix by artmuns’ post (end.php -qty). Not done in the plugin editor, a reload of just that page.
Wondering if its something left from the uninstall of version 1.9. The plugin was deactivated and the files were deleted as done in wp; logged out and started a new browser session, but after I uploaded & activated the new version all the products and most settings were still there. $ were in the product prices and those boxes were checked, as the settings in version 1.9
The site is live, so I can’t do this now, but wondering if after uninstalling & deleting the plugin performing a database fix from the cpanel before installing it again would wipe everything out.
Are there any files in 1.9 that wouldn’t be rewritten by the new version?
February 13, 2010 at 12:21 am #17885amin007ParticipantNope you shouldn’t have to do any database fix. The plugin stores all the product details in the database. This is why when you deleted the plugin all the data was still there (this is intentional). Imagine if you accidentally deactivated the plugin and all your product data for hundreds of products got lost!
WordPress sometimes shows a blank page if there is some sort of PHP error/conflict in one of the files.
