1. Using Group buying Site Plugin
2. I have commission set at 10%
This is the sale
.97 product
.07 tax
1.95 shipping
Total 2.99
Commission applied =.20
Even if it included the shipping it should have been .29 cents…..
April 12, 2012 at 7:16 am #44002adminKeymasterEdit the affiliate’s profile (the one who received the commission) from the manage affiliates section of the dashboard and verify the commission level applied to that profile. You can override the commission level on a per affiliate basis so if that affiliate (the person who referred this sale) has a different commission level applied to his profile then the commission amount will be different than what you initially thought.
April 12, 2012 at 7:23 am #44003PeterMemberIf all checks are ok, can you please enable debug for the Affiliate plugin (see settings page) and then share the output of the wp_affiliate_debug.log file.
April 12, 2012 at 7:12 pm #44004chrisedensMemberWell now it looks like it giving commission on the the shipping too.. Just tested on a 4.00 item that totaled 7.00 with shipping. The commission was .70
Is there a way to prevent that?
April 13, 2012 at 5:51 am #44005adminKeymasterOkay that doesn’t sound right. If you read our documentation you will see that we actually didn’t do the integration with that group buying plugin so we are not a 100% sure as to what method of commission calculation that plugin is using:
Please ask the developer of that plugin the following question so I can get a better understanding of what method of integration they are using and what short of commission calculation they are using:
“Can you share the code that is used to notify the affiliate plugin of a sale after the purchase?”
Also, You haven’t done the “debug” option suggested by Peter and you didn’t tell us if the affiliate you are testing with has a different commission level in his/her profile.
April 13, 2012 at 12:33 pm #44006chrisedensMemberDebug is turned on ill ask GBS and get back to you.
Each affiliate is set at 10% and the default is set at 10% too.

“You’ll need to customize the integration since GBS is indeed passing the total of the purchase not the subtotal.”
April 14, 2012 at 5:32 am #44008adminKeymasterThank you but that doesn’t help me solve this issue fully as I still don’t know the implementation details. Can you share the link of the documentation where they explain what is done for the integration. A snippet of code that they are using to notify the affiliate plugin will help me see the logic and correct it as necessary. Remember, the affiliate plugin simply records the commission based on what inputs you give it. If the inputs are given wrong then there is nothing I can do in the plugin. I hope that makes sense.
