I have followed your directives for translating using POedit and then uploaded the files WPS-fr_Ca.mo and WPS-fr_ca.po via FileZilla ,is it ok to do that?
Did you upload those files in the “languages” folder of the plugin?
What language do you have set in your wp-config.php file?
yes I uploaded then in the language folder, for the config I don’t see the setting for language
[deleted config file content]
You can specify it by adding the following line in your wp-config file
define (‘WPLANG’, ‘fr_CA’);
However, I think the real issue is that your language file name is wrong.
The langauge code must match EXACTLY otherwise WordPress will think the language doesn’t exist. So if your language code is “fr_CA”. Then the filename MUST BE the following:
WPS-fr_CA.mo
WPS-fr_CA.po
So make sure whatever langauge code you select in your settings or specify in the config file matches with your file name. The file name is case sensitive.
