WP Photo Seller – Sales Tax by State

Hello – Is it possible to define sales tax on a per state basis rather than at the country level? Here in the USA there is no national sales tax; it varies depending on the state in which one is operating. In my case, the tax I am required to collect in Missouri is 5.2%, and I only need to collect it on orders that are shipping within Missouri. If I ship an order to anywhere else in the USA there is no applicable sales tax.

Currently the plugin does not support state-specific sales tax – it applies tax on a country basis.

One possible workaround is that you use the PayPal profile based tax to apply the state tax you are referring to.

Given the speed at which tax rates change, for example — 4 times in Los Angeles County California just last year; the solution by @Peter really makes more sense; since the PayPal seller’s fee goes towards keeping the profile based tax tables up to date.
