Is it possible to create mutliple pricelist for an image? maybe a list that extends with options u can pick from after you click on it. So you can seperate digital and ohter products without having a very large list of options.
March 6, 2015 at 12:08 am #68951PeterMemberHi,
We don’t currently have that type of setup but we are always looking at improving the plugin based on feedback.
Can you provide more information on the typical scenario you are after?
March 6, 2015 at 9:01 am #68952selopkrMemberHI,
For example if you offer your customers mutliple products. Like physical prints, canvas prints, print on aliminium or wood etc. or even a smartphone cover. You will have a terible long list of sizes they can pick from.
Right now we offer our customers normal prints with 8 sizes and canvas prints with over 10 sizes to pick from. I will need to create a list with 18 products to pick from. 18 seems fine but if you add more then it would be less easy to pick the product you want.
My suggestion is that before you see a pricelist the customer has to select what kind of product they want. For example if they select canvas they will see 10 different sizes or if they select smartphone cover they will see a list of phones they can pick from.
This would also be good if you want to offer customers prints in black/white and sephia. Is this by the way possible? Can we add a button that changes the color of the picture and the customer would see the image in the color they want to and order it in sephia or black/white? if not, this would be my second suggestion.
It would something like buying clothes
1- select the product you want (canvas, smarhtphone cover etc)
2- select the color you want (color, black/white, sephia)
3- a pricelist appears based on what you selected in step 1 and 2

Obviously the exact scenario you outlined is not available in the photo seller and implementing it would take a fair bit of development time.
I had a think about how you might use the existing functionality available to achieve something close to what you want by using the albums feature.
1) You can create an album to represent all the photos which you would have previously had in a single gallery.
2) Create separate galleries under that album with their own dedicated price lists.
eg, 1 gallery for all canvas products,
1 gallery for all physical prints, etc
Or you could group/arrange the galleries to suit your taste.
This way your price lists can be smaller and dedicated to each gallery which will only show sub-products and not the whole list of all of your available products.
March 7, 2015 at 1:46 pm #68954selopkrMemberThats a great idea.
1- I can make an album which customers clicks on enters password
2- I can create thumbnail links with different products such as canvas and other
3- Both products will have same gallery but with different pricelist.
That seems pretty easy to make. I just need to create a page between the Album page and gallery page. Is that possible?
Is it also possible to change the color of the images? so sephia black/white etc. Without uploading the image to save webspace. A friend told me that it is possible with a javascript is there a easy way?
EDIT: I tried out what you said and i guess need a page in between the album page and gallery I just need a page where are all the available albums are displayed. Just like if you go the gallery page you will see all available galleries. I just need the same but for albums. Once you click on that album you will see all the available galleries under that albums. Then you click again to see all the photos within that gallery. I think i only need a shortcode like [WPS_photo_gallery_home] but for albums.
I tried [WPS_photo_album id=”1″] but this one gives you direct acces to the galleries.
This would be very close to what i want. I tried doing all of this with woocommerce and to be honest it looks much better when eventually done but it is a pain to upload all the pictures taken and installing them as products.
March 7, 2015 at 2:19 pm #68955selopkrMemberI got one more “problem”. I would like to have different variations for shipping and tax. Not all products will have same shipping amount and in The Netherlands some items are taxed at a different rate.
For shipping if for example the customer buys a canvas, they will receive a package which costs more. For printed photos, the costs are less. But if they buy both product at same time, They only have to pay shipping for the canvas.
March 8, 2015 at 12:45 am #68956PeterMemberI think the page you are looking for is called “photoalbums”.
This page displays all of the albums on your system and has the following shortcode:
[WPS_photo_albums_home]
Now with regards to the shipping – what you are asking for is currently not available but we do have plans to add more functionality to the shipping functionality.
April 5, 2016 at 4:42 pm #68957GracieAllenMemberThis is an older topic, but if I may, I’ll throw my support in… I too am trying to sell different products for an image – standard prints, canvas gallery wraps, metal prints, other stuff… Having a bunch of galleries specific to a price list seems extremely cumbersome.
If possible, I’d much prefer a setup similar to what shootproof uses – you select an image from the thumbnail, press “add to cart”. You get a sidebar or popup or whatever that has the different types of products. Click on one and you get that pricelist. Much smaller price lists, easy for users to use, no additional pages (there are already a HUGE number of pages getting created just to do my basic albums/galleries)…
April 6, 2016 at 12:57 am #68958PeterMemberHi GracieAllen,
Thanks for the suggestions – much appreciated.
We will do some brainstorming to see how such a feature can potentially be added.
