WordPress 4.9.7 with ONLY the following plugins:

    WP Photo Seller Version 2.3.6

    Gmail SMTP Version 1.1.7

Running on Ubuntu Server LTS 18.04 – We have root control of server, firewall, and all connections

Hiawatha Web Server 10.8.1, PHP 7.2.4 PHP Memory Usage: 25.63 MB PHP Memory Limit: 256M

    PROBLEM:

WP Photo Seller documenmtation shows both Paypal Standard, and Paypal Express Settings, under PayPal settings, but only Paypal Standard settings appear on our installation of WP Photo Seller. We want to use Paypal Express so the customer doesn’t leave our site.

Is there a WP Photo Seller update that fixes this problem, or could we have an installation corruption or missing PHP library or similar?

    Thanks

    Hi,

WP Photo Seller documenmtation shows both Paypal Standard, and Paypal Express Settings

Can you tell me where saw that?

There should only be one set of paypal settings only for paypal “standard”.

Paypal “express” is currently not supported.

Please see page 3 in the document at http://photography-solutions.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-content/uploads/doc/photo-seller/wp-photo-seller-basic-setup-after-installation-1.pdf

It’s very clear; it shows a graphic with the two sets of settings, one for PayPal standard and the other for PayPal express.

It was a major reason for choosing your product over competitors

There is a little misunderstanding. PayPal offers the onsite checkout using their PayPal Pro API.

The express checkout API is a little different. You still send the user to PayPal for checkout using express checkout API. There is an option with express checkout to offer a popup checkout but that is only applicable for digital goods purchase. Something like the following:

Our photo seller plugin needs to handle both physical and digital items so we use the standard express checkout API setup (which still sends the ).

What you are after is the PayPal pro checkout (which offers on-site credit card checkout). I will send you an email for it.

Also, the documentation link was showing a cached version of the PDF file. I have now updated the link so it is not showing the outdated one anymore.
