Hi
I’ve set a password for a gallery, but when a random user goes onto the gallery they are not prompted to enter a password, like this function is not working.
Please can you help
Thank you
November 27, 2014 at 10:17 pm #67043PeterMemberHow did you set the password to protect the gallery page? Did you use the setting in the gallery settings page?
November 28, 2014 at 2:03 am #67044jonodbnMemberYes, i used the setting in the gallery settings page.
Then when I go onto the page it also shows “Protected” in the title, but there is no prompt for a password
November 28, 2014 at 5:26 am #67045PeterMemberI will need to login to your site to take a look.
I’ve sent you an email to get some login details.
March 19, 2016 at 3:52 am #67046shuva29MemberI am having the exact same issue. Can you help me?

March 19, 2016 at 6:25 pm #67048shuva29MemberHere is my link: [http://www.shuvarahim.com/photogallery/]
I password protected it on the back-end: —
WP Photo Seller –> Gallery.
Under the existing Gallery1 I put a password on it, but then when I go on the site (www.shuvarahim.com) and click the PHOTO GALLERY tab at the top, it shows the front of the album (Edgars 2016) but then does not prompt the password.
Hope this helps. Happy to provide login info via email if needed.
March 20, 2016 at 2:00 pm #67049wzpModeratorPerhaps you are using page caching, either on the server or on your browser? The link you provided seems to be protected, just fine.

September 16, 2016 at 4:55 pm #67050ribenawrathMemberHi I’m having the exact same issue. Password protection is not working for my gallery:
You can go straight in a view it. [http://sashaleephotography.com/photogallery/gallery2/]
Thanks
September 17, 2016 at 2:08 am #67051PeterMemberCan you try the following plugin/theme conflict tests to see if maybe another plugin or your theme might be preventing this:

September 18, 2016 at 12:23 pm #67052ribenawrathMemberI did this and it did not fix my issue. I have a password set, and the gallery is public. I had ALLL my plugins deactivate. No change.
September 19, 2016 at 2:30 am #67053PeterMemberCan you please edit that page from the wordpress pages menu and check if the password protect is configured?
Also can you try a simple test:
manually create a new test page from the wordpress pages menu and set the password protection and check to see if that is working.
September 19, 2016 at 6:11 pm #67054ribenawrathMemberYes. If I create a page in wordpress and set a password, that works.
September 20, 2016 at 1:34 am #67055PeterMemberWhen you edited the gallery page, what did you see in the password protection configuration section?
Did you by any chance change or manually edit the originally created gallery page sometime after you created the gallery?
You should never need to modify the pages manually because the plugin will take care of that.
