Hi guys, im really sorry for disturbing you ive troubleshooted everything I can with this but just not getting anywhere, so i need ask the gurus for some help.
The shop is up and seems to be working, ive fixed the paypal loop issue, but now the order completes, it returns to the thank you page, but thats it.
I dont get an email confirming the order, the customer doesn’t get a order confirmation (apart from paypal), they dont get a download link, and when you check the orders it says none? Hopefully someone can help, ive obviously missed something, but for the life of me I cant see it?
Here is a link, there is a test 0.01 download as well, maybe someone can guide me (oh and logging in on).

September 17, 2016 at 2:23 am #74154PeterMemberI can see that for some reason your logs show an error as follows:
“Failed to insert the following into the order table”
In other words your server failed to do the DB operation which saves the order.
Please check that you have the following setup correctly:
Log into your paypal account and check the following settings:
1) “Auto Return” (this should be enabled)
2) “Payment Data Transfer” (this should be enabled)
3) “Instant Payment Notification (IPN)” (this should be enabled).
4) UTF-8 formatting enabled as per https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/some-characters-and-text-not-recognizable-in-the-notification-email
Photo seller side:
1) In Payment Gateway Settings make sure you have entered your paypal email and also the correct PDT identity token.
Can you also double check that the following tables exist in your DB:
wps_orders
wps_order_items
Also can you please check your server error logs and let me know if you see anything related to the photo seller failures.

ok confirmed everything as instructed, and run another test, now the customer still doesnt get an email, or the order shows on the order list, but we do get a email saying an order was placed? its very odd lol
Ive let the debuggin on encase you need to check it?

also checking the database (phpmyadmin), under wps-orders there is nothing there, however under wps order items, i can see all the orders placed?
Under wps orders it says mysql returned an empty result set?

after 19hrs of straight working on it, ive finely cracked it, and it was actually a kind of odd fix.
I didn’t want the thank you box to show my download link so i left it un-ticked. However I ticked the box and boom it works.
I havent put the short code in as I want the email to have the download link. But yes just incase anyone else has the issue, tick the box and it starts working lol. (maybe good idea if the developer puts a warning on that box saying it needs ticked for the download to work, not even sure why this caused a issue but hey lets not complain its working

September 18, 2016 at 1:16 am #74159PeterMemberThat’s odd and I can definitely confirm that the checkbox you are referring to should not and does not determine whether downloads work or not via the email option.
I think your issue was being caused by something else because as previously stated the saving of the data into the “orders” table was always failing on your server.
Anyway at least you have everything working now and if you see this issue again let us know.
July 16, 2018 at 10:20 pm #74160dwt55305MemberI had the same sort of issues as nate (above), so after reading this thread in disbelief, I did the same check of the box to show download links in the “advanced settings” and mine works now just as nate’s worked. I guess I would suggest that you “fix” this properly, whatever it is, and you might also indicate clearly somewhere in the settings or setup instructions, documentation, whatever that this box needs to be checked, or it ain’t going to work.
Like Nate, I have spun my wheels for many, many hours trying to get to the bottom of the problem. I like your plugins, use several of them in fact, but it really should be easier than this to get it working properly.
July 17, 2018 at 2:12 am #74161adminKeymasterThe plugin is setup to work with a standard default PayPal account setup. The problem arises when the PayPal account’s settings has been tinkered with in the past. Also, different countries (mainly non-english languages) can have an impact. If there was a way to set your PayPal account to default setting that would probably do the job.

My customers are not getting an email, and neither am I.
All PayPal settings are correct after searching the forums, and I am able to provide the download link on the “Thank You” page.
I have a tick in the “Send Email After Purchase”, I have a tick in the “Send Email to Seller After Purchase”, but no email to them, or me. They get a PayPal invoice without any links.
Any ideas?
I don’t like relying on the customer to clicking the link on the page, I’d rather they had a hard copy email with the link.
EDIT: I saw some mention of 777 permissions somewhere, but the thread didn’t complete. Is this something I should be looking into too?
July 21, 2018 at 12:01 am #74163adminKeymasterPlease enable the debug logging in the plugin settings then do a test transaction. Share the URL of your photo gallery page after that. We will check your log and see if the plugin is getting the IPN notification or not.

but i saw order site side not for all clients. If i test with my other paypal account everything works. But i had client from outside Italy ( my country) and with this orders the website doesn’t receive datas.
From my stats:
2 italy order works
2 denmark order work
1 finland order doesn’t work
1 portugal order doesn’t works
Is very importat to me have international order!!!!

It is not suppose to have the issue after you enable the above mentioned option.
