WP Photo Seller – Image Order in Gallery

Hello, I just created my first gallery with more than ten images. The order is set to name ascending, but the images are appearing like this:

Image 1 / Image 10 / Image 11 / Image 12 / Image 13 / Image 14 / Image 15 / Image 2 / Image 3 . . . . Image 9.

Any suggestions on how to fix the order so it’s Image 1 , Image 2 , Image 3 …. etc.

Karen,

It is sorting alphabetically,, not numerically. If your images are actually named Image 1, Image 2, etc. then you will need to use leading 0’s to keep the name the same length. Image 01, Image 02, etc.

There is a tweak I can do to sort by “natural” order which will sort strings containing numbers in an order a human would expect them to be.

I will make this tweak sometime this week and let you know.

Hi, can anyone tell me if this ‘tweak’ was rolled out to everyone? As Ligthroom will not export the files with ’01’ as a suffix. It does not accept leading zeros. So this tweak would be fantastic!!
