Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP Lightbox Ultimate › WP Lightbox Ultimate – embed using html instead of shortcode
Hi
I just upgraded from the free WP Video Lightbox and i’m a little confused. I was using the HTML method of linking to the lightbox (rather than shortcode) and i cannot see any reference to this in the help files forums etc for the Ultimate version? PLEASE tell me this is still possible in the paid version (as I am using links through a wordpress theme which doesnt support shortcodes in this specific widget).
Im using it with the pagelines DMS theme which comes with a range of inline editing sections. The link is placed in one of these. Here is the html I was using in my URL box [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7z74BvLWUg] rel=”wp-video-lightbox”
This worked great but when I uninstalled and installed the Ultimate version this no longer worked.
Many thanks
Hi, we don’t recommend using direct html because it’s not automated but you can still do it. Please check this link for more information: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/what-is-the-long-code
If you do want to embed using a shortcode feel free to check our general shortcode guide: http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wp-affiliate-link-manager/wp-content/uploads/wp-lightbox-stuff/docs/wp-lightbox-ultimate-general-shortcodes.pdf
Excellent. Problem solved thanks
