I have recently been using WP eStore. When a customer makes a purchase I get an email from WP eStore with the proper purchase price of the product and the proper amount of added shipping. When I get the purchase email from PayPal the shipping is not included. My assumption is this is a setting within WP eStore, but unable to fix the problem. Please help.

You will have to look into your PayPal profile for this. Both the product price and shipping price is submitted to PayPal so it should be in the receipt.
September 10, 2010 at 1:35 am #24071BTOMemberCould you look at the info I am getting from WP eStore and PayPal below. The amount sent to me from WP eStore to me is correct. So I would assume PayPal would get the same information, yet PayPal is always missing the shipping amount. This amount is created in WP eStore. I am still assuming I am missing a setting in WP eStore, or don’t understand the process.

September 10, 2010 at 5:48 am #24072amin007ParticipantThe receipt should definitely show the shipping and handling cost. Just below the itemized information it should have the following details which include the shipping and handling for the transaction:
Subtotal: $5.00 USD
Postage and packing: $2.00 USD
Total: $7.00 USD
Can you please send me a link to the page where you have the buy buttons so I can add it to cart and see how it looks?
Also please send me a screenshot of the email you get from PayPal.

How do I PM you a screen shot?
Thanks in advance.

I can see that eStore is submitting the shipping to PayPal but it’s being ignored. Remember ultimately when the payment goes to PayPal your profile that you have setup can override the values.
You need to look at your PayPal profile settings and disable profile based shipping if you want to keep using eStore’s shipping.
October 4, 2010 at 9:33 pm #24075BTOMemberI called PayPal and they said that my profile wasn’t the problem. I am a little lost at this point.
October 5, 2010 at 2:33 am #24076amin007ParticipantI like PayPal for what it enables an individual to do in terms of selling but their customer support may not be the best. I will look at your site and give you a hand. I will send you an email to get site access.
June 10, 2011 at 9:53 pm #24077DaanonSpectatorI’m getting the same thing. When I look in the ipn_handle_debug.log it shows &mc_shipping1=0.00. When I put an item in the cart it shows $5 for shipping, but when I get to PayPal it only shows the item cost.
I went into Paypal and there was a Standard Shipping method setup which I tried with the “Use the shipping fee in the transaction instead of my calculator’s settings:” set to yes and I deleted the shipping method all together. Both ways it still came up with no shipping added.
June 10, 2011 at 11:41 pm #24078amin007ParticipantPlease post a link to the page where you have the product buy button.
Also please disable “Profile based shipping” from your PayPal account if you are not going to use it. Do you have the “Use PayPal Profile Based Shipping” checkbox checked under the PayPal Payment Gateway Settings section in WP eStore settings?
June 14, 2011 at 8:38 am #24079DaanonSpectatorIt was the “Use PayPal Profile Based Shipping.” I thought it was a PayPal setting and hadn’t looked on the Payment Gateway Settings section. It is working fine now. THANKS!
November 6, 2011 at 3:33 pm #24080kruttenMemberI believe I have the same problem mentioned in this thread… my customer is being charged the appropriate amount of shipping, but it doesn’t show in the “Shipping and handling” line on the Paypal notification. I have not set up any Paypal shipping options and the “Use PayPal Profile Based Shipping” in eStore is unchecked. Here’s what the Paypal email shows…
Subtotal: $35.98
Shipping and handling 0
Total: $55.93
Payment: $55.93
Suggestions?
November 6, 2011 at 10:11 pm #24081adminKeymasterPlease load a fresh build of the plugin on your site and then send a link to your product page so I can check a few things:

November 8, 2011 at 4:11 pm #24082kruttenMemberThanks for the help… the fresh build process seems to have fixed the problem, at least in my test transaction.
November 9, 2011 at 1:28 pm #24083kruttenMemberOk… it appears that my problem is NOT fixed as I just had a transaction that again charged the shipping but showed it as 0 on the Paypal email. I’m guessing this might have something to do with paypal.php, which I altered to accommodate iDev affiliate using the info in this post: https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/idev-affiliate-and-wp-estore-integration
My product page is at http://logyourmemory.com/shop
