I have several products set-up with a product variation that allows the customer to pay a fixed portion of the total product price, i.e. the product is $100 but we give them the option to pay $50 through eStore and then we contact them directly for the $50 balance.

Whenever a customer opts to buy the product this way, eStore sends me an email notification saying that “Payment Verification Failed”, but when I look in paypal, the funds have been transferred to my account successfully. Does anyone know how to fix this glitch?

    Hi,

To be able to further understand what exactly is the cause of the failure, it is a good idea to turn eStore debug on so we can look at the contents of the log file.

Here’s some more info about how to do this:

eStore is simply making sure no customer can scam you. If your product price is set to $100 then eStore will catch it when someone pays below that amount. If you are manual taking payment for a product lower than what it actually costs without using coupon then create a separate product with the same details and set the price of that product lower.

    Hi,

I am also having this problem.

1— …buy, I received and email from Paypal saying that payment was complete. I checked the Paypal account and payment was posted.

2— Also, when I made a trial purchase of 0.01 cent, I never got the email that says “complete your registration” after payment.

3— I also proceeded to Enable Debug mode for both Plugins WPeStore, WpeMember and this was the result:

    [06/15/2012 5:43 AM] – Advisory : Log file reset.

Our customer record shows that you did not purchase the eStore plugin that you are requesting support for. We only see purchase of another product from this account. I have sent you an email to rectify this situation. Please reply to my email.

    Hi,

it seems to me that I encounter a similar problem. The setup is as follows : We sell tickets over a website and for these tickets there is a varition which allows the customer to select a full price ticket for adults or a ticket for children with a 50% discount.

When checking out a full price ticket via PayPal no problem, but when checking out a child’s ticket the transaction is not validated.

We are currently using only sandbox for testing.

Here are the log file results for a full price ticket :

[08/16/2012 5:30 PM] – SUCCESS :Incremental counter value for PayPal checkout: 8

    Hi,

Which version of eStore are you using?

How are you specifying the variation?

see this for instructions on variations:

Have you made any code modifications?

    Hi,

thanks for the replies. Im using the variations like this :

    |Erwachsene/Adults|Kinder/Enfants:-17.50

The only modifications done are for the language settings together with qtranslate. I’m using version 6.8.4.

If I try to put a string in the price field the price charged is wrong.

There is a mistake in your variation price. You need to specify just the price increment of the variation.

Lets say you want to charge “17.50” for the “Kinder/Enfants” option and “35.00” for the “Erwachsene/Adults” option. Use 17.50 as the main price amount and the following as your variation:

    |Kinder/Enfants|Erwachsene/Adults:17.50

Alternatively, create two different eStore products. One called “Kinder/Enfants” with a price of 17.50 and another product for “Erwachsene/Adults” with a price of 35.00.
