Apparently my shared hosting server was a bit sluggish which made me think that it wasn’t activating. The next morning, it showed up in the list as “activated”. Thanks for the follow up email.

Did you follow *these* installation instructions, or did you do something “different?”

The most common “oops” is using the built-in WordPress plugin installer to upload the files.

    Thank you wzp

I am supposed to Unzip and Upload the folder wp-cart-for-digital-products to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.

Where do I find the wp-content/plugins/ directory. I have a Mac.

    Thanks.

That directory is located on your server.

Thank you I really need help with installing this for I don’t know where the server is – I am used to clicking something and it downloads. This is new to me. Is there someone who I can talk to and tell me exactly what I need to do. Thanks.

Perhaps you might consider the plugin installation & testing service.

    HI there,

I’ve tried both ways to install and both times when I try to activate it I get the following message:

The website encountered an error while retrieving http://sacredcowenterprises.com/wp-admin/plugins.php?activate=true&plugin_status=all&paged=1&s=. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

When I click the back button the plugins page cannot display. I am using the most recent version of estore and version 3.3 of WP. I have previously tried to install other shopping cart plugins with no success, however the free version installed without any problems. Please help.

    Cheers,

Lets get some internal details of your site. Please ask your hosting provider the following questions:

    1. What version of PHP are you using on this server?

    2. How much RAM memory is available for PHP application for your account?

    3. What version of MySQL is this server using?

What version of PHP are you using on this server?

    5.2.17

    2. How much RAM memory is available for PHP application for your account?

    Taken from the php.ini file:

max_execution_time = 30 ; Maximum execution time of each script, in seconds

max_input_time = 60 ; Maximum amount of time each script may spend parsing request data

    memory_limit = 64M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (16MB)

My host has advised that 500mb is as far as we can go.

    3. What version of MySQL is this server using?

    5.1.60 community log.

Hope this helps solve my problem.

The issue you described is looking like a database related issue but your MySQL version seems okay. Lets try increasing the PHP Memory limit a little. Please change your memory limit value (memory_limit) to 128MB and give it a try.
