Hi
I have a friend testing my website by purchasing my product.
He gets taken to Paypal and the money is deducted and I get notification of payment received – so far so good.
What happens then is that he clicks on the Return To Merchant button and instead of being taken to my Thank You page where the downloadble links are for the mp3s, he is taken to a “Page not found”. The url of this page matches my Thank you page url so I dont know why its not getting to my thank you page.
The page is on private (of course) I’vee filled in the Return URL page details in the settings section. I’m sure it’s something I have or havent ticked – can anyone help please??

My thank you page. Is this what you mean?

September 5, 2010 at 2:55 am #23891AnonymousGuestIf I go to Pages, then the Thank You page I created, the URL next to the Permlinks heading is:
http://midifilestore.com/?page_id=8
I don’t understand why it’s not picking it up. I’m not creating the URL – it’s created for me but it’s not working. I’m confused.
Should I create a NEW Thank you page and try that?
September 5, 2010 at 3:07 am #23892AnonymousGuestI just deleted the Thank you page and created a new page called Thanks. The URL is:
http://midifilestore.com/?page_id=999
Same thing – I click on the URL and it doesn’t find the page. It can’t be something I’m doing because as I saud before, WordPress is providing the URL.
Help??
September 5, 2010 at 11:31 pm #23893AnonymousGuestI still need help – issue not resolved.
Got me stumped!
In the estore settings page, then general settings then Post Payment processing Settings I have “Enable transaction Result Display” ticked which I know is correct. Should “Use Automatic Post Payment Processing be ticked as well?
And in the “Email settings, “Use WordPress Mailing System” and “Send Emails to Buyer After Purchase” be ticked?
I need help?

It’s a really simple thing… you just need to talk to your hosting and make sure that your pages are accessible. Once you have a URL where you can go and it doesn’t give a 404 error then use that URL in the “Return URL” field of eStore and PayPal will be able to send the visitor to that page after the payment successfully.
