I am having a problem with eStore and the Pay-Per-View Videos after a payment has been processed. The Thank You page shows the link to the Pay-Per-View Video after being redirected by Paypal. When I click on the link it gives me the following Error Message from Internet Explorer:
Oops! This page appears broken. DNS Error – Server cannot be found.
Here is what the original link looked like: http://www.mysite.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-cart-for-digital-products/download.php?file=NWcmiv2B8Ygzscwt
Please advise as to what the problem might be.
Now a second question is do I have to have a player plugin enabled to play the video?February 1, 2011 at 3:15 am #28564IvyMember
Hi, The following error “DNS Error – Server cannot be found” usually happens when your hosting is having issue or maybe down. The following forum post from Google will explain more about this:March 2, 2011 at 11:02 pm #28565
I read in another forum about changing the Automatic URL Conversion Preference and the Download Method and the link on my Thank You page worked to download the Video.
When I switched the Product to Pay-Per-View and processed the payment. I got the above server error again. Please advise as to what might be the problem here.March 2, 2011 at 11:51 pm #28566
If you get a “DNS Error – Server cannot be found” then only your hosting provider can help you. If on the other hand you get a “404 – Page Not found” error then that means something is wrong with the URL. Are you still getting a DNS error?March 5, 2011 at 3:27 am #28567
I’m getting the following error: HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error).
If it is an internal server error do you have any advise or suggestions on what settings could be impacting it?March 5, 2011 at 11:47 pm #28568April 21, 2011 at 10:26 pm #28569
I explored my server error log and I couldn’t find any record of why the masked webpage would not load. So I am back to where I was, trying to figure out why the PPV will not load. Was I supposed to embed the video into a webpage or does the plugin do this?April 21, 2011 at 11:46 pm #28570
Yeah you need to embed the videos (that you are selling) on a page then use the URL of that page in the eStore’s “Digital Content URL” field. eStore will just keep the true link of the page hidden. This page has a video that shows you how to set up pay per view option:August 29, 2011 at 5:55 am #28571
Hey thanks for the advise. I got it done after being hacked! : )
I am now having a similar issue as Vitaly in this post:
Basically my embeded video page URL is still visible and public. I’ve randomized the URL and took care of robots.
Did you guys ever come up with a custom code for this issue or another work around?

Assurer (one of the moderators here) added a better “Pay Per View” feature option to eStore. This might work better for your situation:
