Hi,
I integrated eStore with my Mailchimp list. The buyers’s email address is being passed just fine when using Paypal payments. However, when paying via Stripe Basic, the buyer’s email address is not being added to the list.
Here’s the scenario:
-Two different emails were used for the test.
-One email address (say testmail_1@test.com) was used for the Paypal payment. The result was ok – the buyer’s email address was added to my mailchimp list (say LIST_A).
-Another email address (say testmail_2@test.com) was used for the Stripe Basic payment. The buyer’s email address was not added to the said list (LIST_A).
-Stripe Basic transactions were made on Testing Mode.
-I checked my Stripe account, and I saw the payment went through. Same goes with the eStore’s customers data (I can see the buyers info). But buyer (email address) was not added to the mailchimp list.
How to resolve this? Thanks.
Please enable the debug option in both the estore plugin and the gateway bundle addon. Then do a test transaction and share the log file so we can take a look. Also, share the URL of the page where you have the payment buttons so I can inspect it.

Thank you for the log. That mailchimp signup error usually happens if you are using interest groups. It doesn’t look like you are using interest groups though. Are you using any other payment gateway on this site also? And the list signup works fine for those other gateway checkout?
Yes, not using any interest groups. Yes, the list signup works ok when customer pays by PayPal.
Only Paypal Standard (the one built-in within eStore) and Stripe Basic (from the Payment Gateway Bundle) are used.
When Paypal payments are made, there’s no problem – the customer’s data (email address) is being signed-up to the list.
When Stripe Basic is being used, the customer’s data (email address) is not being signed-up to the list.
Letting you know as well that it’s using the per-product list sign-up.
I saw in the log that it was able to retrieve the list name and it’s working ok with PayPal payments though, so not sure if that info helps.
