Hi again!
I love integration with WP eStore + Mailchimp. So simple!
My question – if I do product specific setup for mailchimp autoresponders (all which would be different lists) and someone buys two or more products within the same transaction (using add_to_cart shortcode), they will be placed in ALL of those product-specified mailchimp lists, right?
September 8, 2012 at 11:50 pm #49088adminKeymasterYes, they will be placed in all of those product specific lists.
December 11, 2012 at 2:35 pm #49089jamieMemberIs it possible to set up integration for both Aweber AND Mailchimp? Some of my customers need to go to a list in an Aweber account, and some need to go into a Mailchimp account.
December 12, 2012 at 5:07 am #49090adminKeymasterNo, its not possible to activate two different autoresponder service at the same time in one WP install. Usually a customer goes with one autoresponder per business.
You could enable AWeber for example. Then export the customer list from a particular list and import it to your MailChimp list.
May 25, 2013 at 2:25 pm #49091StarCircleAcademyMemberI have one big list in MailChimp with lots of GROUPS. Is it possible to have the autoresponder add to a specific group in a list? For example my list is “My Customers” but I have “Product A”, “Product B”, “Newsletter”, “Product Updates” etc. I want to add purchasers of Product A to group “Product A” and trigger an autoresponder to invite them to sign up for the Newsletter, and select whether they want to hear about Product Updates.
Down the road my intent is to send product specific emails including info about updates if they’ve asked.

The integration is to place the customer into a specific list. There must be an autoresponder configured in MailChimp that does something with that action, like “send to users one hour after they appear in list”, or am I missing something obvious?
May 28, 2013 at 2:29 am #49093adminKeymasterThe main objective is to add the customer to a MailChimp list. You can also use it to trigger an autoresponder sequence once the customer is added to the list. eStore has options to facilitate that.
I think you need to configure a Signup Date Field in your MailChimp list if you want to trigger the autoresponder sequence when a user is added to a particular list. Configure that value in your MailChimp list then enter the details in eStore’s “Signup Date Field Name” field. You can also read MailChimp’s documentation on how to configure your account/list so it triggers an autoresponder sequence when someone is added to the list.

June 25, 2013 at 9:47 pm #49095jamieMemberHi guys,
If I use the Add to Cart buttons and have different Mailchimp lists for each product I’ve created and specified that information in the Autoresponder Settings of each product, and someone purchases two separate products at the same time through the shopping cart, will they be placed on BOTH mailchimp lists pertaining to each specific product?
June 26, 2013 at 1:49 am #49096adminKeymasterYes, If you are using a per product autoresponder list approach then the customer will be placed in both the lists specified in the respective product’s configuration.
June 26, 2013 at 10:12 pm #49097StarCircleAcademyMemberJamie, depending on how you use Mailchimp, you might find it advantageous to use groups within a single list rather than multiple lists. The latest version of eStore supports this. See here for more:
